14/6/2017 11:12 | 9tintin Never say never. I can see where you are coming from but the picture has changed. With any discovery company it's a risk. The risk here is quite low the rewards are massive. Like SOU EME have a few potential discovery's | teacup
14/6/2017 10:49 | tea cup Good luck with EME and Good 'ol Tom - couldn't wait to exit and took a massive loss (for me) - never ever ever going back. Remember the days when EME hit 21p ? then the POO hit the rocks and the rest is history,,,,,,,,,,,,, sorry for off topic. tintin | 9tintin
14/6/2017 10:44 | Given the current rate of drilling c20 mtrs a day the should reach the bottom the horizon in a couple of days - unless it's a monster reservoir !!! Add a day maybe two to analyse what they've got and install the liner - maybe news on Monday next week. Fingers well and truly crossed. tintin | 9tintin
14/6/2017 10:44 | 100% faith in SOU I'm just touting my golden tickets for a while | teacup
14/6/2017 10:43 | I have just done something I thought I never would. I rebalanced my portfolio for a few days. Just sold a few SOU about 10% and bought a few EME which is about to take off. I am a long term holder in both. I hope to sell the EME in a week or so and buy back into SOU. EME could double in a very short space of time from here. A gamble I know and if they both do well it's a win win | teacup
14/6/2017 10:16 | Sound Energy PLC (LON:SOU) said drilling at its Badile onshore well near Milan, Italy, has uncovered “significant gas shows”. However it also ‘sounded’ Gas was encountered at a measured depth of 4,375 metres within the main reservoir target. Chromatograph data indicated it was composed of methane and pentane. Drilling has been paused to allow workers run in a liner after which Sound will continue to the bottom of the reservoir. To date the company has scored significant success at Tendrara, in Morocco, where it has discovered significant accumulations of potentially commercial gas. However, Sound’s Italian assets were the foundation stone on which the company was built and it has two producing wells – although their output is modest. Badile could be a game-changer for this portion of the portfolio. An independent assessment suggests the target could be host to around 178bn standard cubic feet of gas with a net present value of £400mln. That figure is what’s called a ‘best case’, unrisked estimate. It sits at in the middle of the range with the ‘high case’ forecast being 670bn cubic feet and the ‘low case’ 46bn cubic feet. 14/6/2017 09:07 | Malcy speaks: Potentially very good news from Sound this morning as the first news from Badile is good. The well has reached its primary reservoir target and found ‘significant gas shows’ at 4,375m which is most encouraging. They have suspended drilling ahead of running the 7″ liner after which they will proceed to the rest of the reservoir. The company are correctly warning investors not to get carried away (some chance) until the full results are known. Having said that, if this was to come in then the last few years would have been worthwhile, a long time ago I remember having 50p a share in for Badile, i’m not going to change that now although it will need tweaking depending on the results. | manics
14/6/2017 08:39 | Sp action little disappointing so far let hope for a good run until the end of the week at least | jovi1
14/6/2017 08:35 | I note that the rns doesn't say gas shows.It says Significant gas shows ! | bozowl7
14/6/2017 08:32 | It is good news, bit early to say how good based upon the RNS, obviously news leaked and the market responded yesterday forcing the company to rns. | noramping

14/6/2017 08:07 | Will the O & G savvy peeps please comment in due course on its "significance" TIA | rutter
14/6/2017 08:03 | Dave, they haven't mention the amount, they just say c1 to c5 gas. The amount will be confirmed after logging, in reality this looks like an rns due to price movement (i.e. News leaked again) yesterday. | noramping
14/6/2017 07:57 | they did say they found a load of gas, just not the exact amount until the flow test is done.. yes it is good news. | dave19w
14/6/2017 07:37 | strongbuy: the answer's in the RNS. They need to place the liner, drill on to the bottom of the reservoir then log that sucker to be in a position to say how much (if any) they have. | manics
14/6/2017 07:36 | strongbuy, They are putting the liner in. | ride daice
