If there was a sudden heavy weight of money on shorts I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss that someone is in the know. I don't think that's the case, just hypothesising.

buffy - you simply can't read anything into whether ig will accept long or short bets.
if you could it would mean that ig were efefctively taking positions based on belief or not in a company / results. they simply do not do that.
to sugegst otherwise is as bad as saying mms load up before new. again rubbish.
they (ig and mms) simply make their money in the spread.

I meant unborrowable on their platform to the client base. Check the listings yourself. Expanding from that IG have multiple options regards to their own position.

Anyway, no longs, no shorts at IG doesn't mean much of anything imo.

At any one time a good amount of AIM is unborrowable. Personally I wouldn't read anything into the SOU status at IG.

Its a strange one. They often refuse to take more longs because they have reached a certain percentage exposure in a company; but I've not heard of them limiting a short position, as it would balance the longs, which normally far exceed the shorts.
