Was wondering the same myself. Does the market expect the deal to be problematic?

I have held these for a number of years through the highs and the recent lows.With the current share price nearly a quid less than the offer price, what am I missing?

Yes, well done to SPE shareholders on probably doubling their money overnight.

This bodes well for Parity (PTY): market cap. £1.91M. at 1.85p, 2022 revenue £40.6M.

PTY's net debt as at 30.6.23 was only £0.7M., and the company was close to EBITDA break-even.

PTY may well currently be considering takeover overtures.

Thank Bbus. I still hold some but sold most around 600-650p as I thought they'd miss this year's earnings. C'est la vie. Proceeds going into the other leading niche software companies - IQG, NET, EYE, GHT, ECK.

This was such a high flyer and seems to have struggled over the last few years despite fairly reasonable numbers.This always responds disproportionately to buys and sells so once this gains better traction, the potential for this to go nicely is quite high...But we need to have something to stimulate that growth again.

I'm wondering what the acquisition trail will bring us over the next few months? This share price seems to be quite set around this 6 pounds mark. A good base to move from and with SPE, it always seems to be big steps when it comes.We are making money and cash in bank so the factors for stepping up are in place..

Looks like ISA funds for the year being used. Not huge amounts given their salaries but always encouraging nonetheless.

Pleasing results and an encouraging outlook rewarded by an uplift of a pound in the share price.

“Sopheon delivered solid growth with record ARR last year, and acquisitions and new products tripled our multi-billion-dollar addressable market. Our ambition is for Sopheon to double run-rate revenue every three to four years”

“Our balance sheet remains very strong to fuel additional acquisition and investment”

All in all, a very good future and a very good share to have.

So what are the prospects of a predator taking us out? We seem to have all the parts ready to fit very nicely into a huge conglomerate..Any thoughts?

Generally you can buy/ sell within that spread, but not always. I tried some dummy wells last week and it was at the worse end of the spread.

and as you say the spread is pretty dire.

Yes, indeed. All very encouraging. The wide spread is a disincentive to traders but these shares are a a good medium to long term hold. The bowl formation on the share price chart indicates considerable further uplift over the year ahead.
