Just throwing this out there: what would you like to see in the 'new strat' hitting the wires shortly?

Neo - they'll get more than 7 million for Egypt. Ned and I have debated the figure ad nauseam on this board. Likely to be in the region of 10 million GBP.

Mkt cap was 8m at the time of the announcement, and the mkt cap threshold would be 75% of this as an absolute minimum as the RNS stated "substantially exceeds" that figure, which is not going to be just 1 million extra is it...

Net assets valued at 25 million at 30/06.

Looking at the tea leaves: it would appear that the seller holding this down has now stopped (?). So line of least resistance higher (timely for those who just received options lol)

If there is price sensitive info being released could they give themselves options?

Mkt cap 8m, owe aleph $3m, expecting to get 7m from egyptian sale. Still heard nothing from sale.Problem is they are not making profit in moroccan gas sales. They need to do something different. Why are they taking so long to wrap the deal.

I think £40m is a bit more realistic.

Little - surely transferring from the Egyptian bank account to the Moroccan will see this rise above that?

I appreciate not as simple but they have set the bar incredibly low for themselves. I go to many conferences in the region and speak to many CEOs and they all recognise there are opportunities but you need to work for them - the free money has gone.

Lets hope a combination of the 'new strat' and well results (and whatever they can get out of Egypt) sees this substantially higher. It's a great fit in a very handy location for a big trader to look at but not if they're using it as a cash cow to buy their Christmas presents

Someone on LSE has pointed out that if we don't hear something soon, then the deal won't get done this calendar year...

I wonder why we've not had an update...

Little - just to be clear - the new MD has no experience in energy. (In my opinion) he needs to be kept on his toes..

I agree with what you both say but lets wait for the plan before dismissing it.I think the Moroccan will be be announced when the Egypt sale goes through. The new BOD has,I think, enough expertise and knowledge to turn the ship around but we will find out soon enough

That isn't really the idea of a shareholder group Ned. I have no issue with comms per se [although I have not tried to speak to management since the Squelch days], the idea would be that by voting as a group [due to our combined shareholding size] we would have more clout.

Personally, i haven't got anywhere near enough to be declarable. But combined i imagine we'd have enough to at least put some pressure on management at the AGM.

Up to you, but I am sick of seeing my investment dwindle away - this could well end up with more financing and eventually even a sort of Bowleven situation. Who knows, but this is almost 30% of my entire portfolio now. I refuse to buy more without some idea or vision for the business... Shouting "renewables" is not a strategy! Clearly, Morrocco is just not going to throw off enough cash to make us anything [the accounts says so!]. There's no point in having valuable assets that require ongoing expensive capex.

Anyway, I don't think there is enough PI interest in this for a large holders group... Hopefully one day...

we should start a minor [>250k shares?] shareholders group to get more clout... I'd be prepared to do it, but it'd be just Ned and I by the look of it!!!
