So... 35 million BB

Issued Share Capital: 205,378,069
Percentage of AIM Securities Not in Public Hands: 39.06%

So say 123 million in the float.

£ 3 million / 0.08 =37.5 million shares... So approx 1/4 of the float back from current prices.

Is that right?

Jeez, that does look pretty good...

Notice btw the Newlands are "out" with no notifiable holding. Shows poor confidence in mgt to sell at such a loss and walk away. Not a good sign.

35 million shares about to be bought with the 3 million share buy back which starts in July plus extra production and news from current drills should push this back above 30p in my view?!

Lot of newsflow coming from this one soon. See if they have turned a corner but certainly the price of oil is a good helper at this point.

Think there must be a holder of size reducing their position? As others have said the volume has picked up but supply of shares seems to remain.

It's a very good result. This is what was said about it in 2022 guidance:"The SD-5X/Warda exploration well is assumed to be dry for guidance purposes but if successful, could increase gross production to 38-40 MMscfe/d and SDX's total corporate entitlement guidance to 3,600-3,850 boe/d (net of minority interest) from the 3,300-3,550 boe/d currently presented"

SDX can sell as much gas as it can produce at South Disouq. There is no restriction

I was under the impression that a previous CEO had been sacked for over estimating gas demand/demand growth.

What do you mean 'the gas has to be sold first'?

chique

The gas has to be sold first, the issue is that demand isn't increasing anywhere near the level investors were told 2-3 years ago.

This well is mostly replacing a recently depleted well anyway.

is that fair price?

SD-5X will now be tied-in via a short connection (600 metres) to the SD-4X flow-line and into the CPF. It is estimated that the tie in cost will be c.US$0.5 million (gross)

Phew, looks like we're staggering back up from the recent all time low. Let's home that investors put some of their new Isa cash in here.

Bought a few more here but had a rough time getting some. Think the dip yesterday was possibly due to the end of tax year - locking in deductibles.

Aware of the issues here but money talks and they are making it. And then there is the buybacks coming in H2. Looks good for a punt to me anyway.

Plus they own the only gas oil pipeline in Egypt or is it Morocco can't remember

With Europe now desperate for non-Russian gas-oil supplies, then SDX's gas-oil assets in Morocco & Egypt are looking increasingly attractive.

And with high oil & gas prices, large oil-gas companies will have huge amounts of cash flow to help fund acquisitions.

Acquisition and merger activity in the sector is likely to increase, and hugely undervalued shares like SDX are likely to be prime targets.

Today's research note from Auctus Advisors states:
'We are increasing our target price from £0.22 per share to £0.25 per share on our newer higher oil price assumptions. • SDX’s Egyptian and Moroccan fixed price gas assets are typically the focus of attention. However, the company also holds 50% WI in the West Gharib oil field that it is being redeveloped to increase production to 4.0-4.5 mbbl/d by YE23. Under our new oil price assumptions, we value the asset at almost ~US$30 mm, representing 1.5x the current market cap and 4x the current enter'

SDX have just made a high-value gas discovery in Egypt, with much higher margins.

This was a 40% chance of success well that came in.

And the two recent discoveries alone probably account for SDX's market cap.

At just 7.25p SDX now looks well oversold, and should quickly recover to 8p+.

SDX Oil output from West Gharib - Entitlement production guidance of 500bpd for SDX for 2022 is at market prices / near Brent price... entitlement should go up to 800-900 bpd by early 2023 per Company guidance as of full year results...

This asset alone justifies a much higher valuation - in the 20p plus rang!!!

"I wonder if a fundamental issue here is that much of SDX output is sold at a fixed price. This worked ok in the past but it must be to our disadvantage now that prices have soured. It's strange that even now SDX mention in RNSs about this fixed priced arrangement and it's advantages in a low commodity price environment. Maybe they need to drop these comments from future announcements whist prices are so high."
