Interesting that the statement studiously avoided mentioning the "postponed to January 2021" dividend which may be encouraging as it would have been the obvious time to change it to a "cancelled dividend".

Yep - I'd take that as reassuring and their additional savings of 0.5m made smack if anything of being over cautious. I'm surprised that the initial share price reaction is down - to me this is welcome reassurance.

COVID-19 update today. Honestly, I think it is far far better than the market was fearing and shows this is a changed business. My thoughts below

- If they're running at a $68m revenue rate, that's a lot better than my base case conservative scenario of $30m this year. Cash remains high over $24m, remaining profitable and cash generative

- Downside case if $54m for the year and will still be profitable and cash generative off this level. $5m pre-tax cost savings found

If this is their downturn, then this could be hugely significant. This has never traded at a proper multiple because people were worried about what bad years would look like and were pegging off 2009 when this business was totally different. I would not rule out Somero rerating more significantly over time to a 15x+ business if this year turns out to be even at their downside case.

well there's the dividend for starters, not being cancelled, but accumulated/delayed til early next year. Not expecting fireworks any time soon, but dont see why it cant get back to 300p within a year, thats a 50% recovery from here.

This was just disclosure-related, not an actual accounts adjustment - i.e. profitability unchanged. They forgot to write the numbers in the annual report and now they have.
