28/8/2020 15:10 | The same could be said of you LT. I agree with Lefrene, we don't need to be bullied by the wasteful EU. WTO is better than a bad deal. | ![]() celeritas
28/8/2020 15:05 | LF, I think you've been reading too much propaganda. Barnier is insisting that Britain negotiates based on the terms agreed in the withdrawal agreement. This was signed by Boris and voted through the house of commons under Boris. It appears that nobody in government actually read the contents and now wish to reopen that agreement. The entire country should be embarrassed and ashamed at this, not blaming Barnier for our own failures. | ![]() lowtrawler
28/8/2020 14:18 | LT, Barnier has been refusing to talk until his demands are met first over grabbing our fish, and regulating the so called 'level playing field' (which it isn't) under the European Court. Only having got what he wants will he begin 'negotiations'. This is the behaviour of someone who has defeated a country in war. If he were a business who had enjoyed making a great deal of money out of me for the past 45 years, and he was trying to renew his contract, he would have been out of the door a long time ago. He's right though the British are indeed wasting time. Show the impudent lackey the door now, and declare WTO, these blood suckers have had four years to get used to the idea that they will have to find another teat to suck upon. But no, like a kicking and screaming brat, he's demanding ice cream and a bar of chocolate from his mum before he will stop sulking. If Boris does a Treason May and gives in to these outrageous demands with menaces, then the Tory Party is toast. However this is the Solg board, plainly many have gone off for a long weekend, thus not much happening anywhere, and very likely not much happening all next week either. | ![]() lefrene
28/8/2020 13:16 | Rp, you don't need to be a remainer to see the difference in competence between the 2 sides. I feel embarrassed even thinking about it. | ![]() lowtrawler
28/8/2020 13:01 | Clearly LT you are a Remainer....? | ![]() rougepierre
28/8/2020 11:55 | No Lefrene is correct. | ![]() celeritas
28/8/2020 11:53 | LF, shurely wrong way around. Barnier has been a perfect example of competence, intelligence and restraint. Our side has been shown up as liars, cheats, incompetent and lazy. I think any member of the British cabinet would fit right into cornerstone. | ![]() lowtrawler
28/8/2020 10:56 | Perhaps CGP could take over Barniers job? They seem to have the necessary qualifications of being economical with the truth, whilst pushing their own agenda. At least gold and copper seem to be firming up, although of course just reflecting a sagging dollar. | ![]() lefrene
27/8/2020 19:04 | Thank you - he did indeed!... and funnily enough he has just tweeted, referring to the video... "Brook Macdonald of Cornerstone corrects many of the points of SolGold's mean-spirited disinformation campaign." | ![]() pob69
27/8/2020 16:46 | Warren Irwin tweeted that Newcrest and BHP didn't want the deal on 1 July. Maybe they believe their own hype? | ![]() lowtrawler
27/8/2020 16:34 | Oddly enough for some reason the "history" interactive graphic of Solgold has gone from the "about us" section of the website. (It was there Weds but not today - I was researching dates for ENSA termsheets). Maybe they are updating it with something interesting.... | ![]() pob69
27/8/2020 16:18 | I dare say you have seen this pob69, Newcrest being reported as against the Franco money raise, wanting an equity raise instead (ie more dilution). I guess Newcrest wanted a cheap way to get more equity. Have Newcrest really gone off in a huff, or is this part of a strategy with BHP? | ![]() lefrene
27/8/2020 16:09 | Did Nick not criticise Newcrest for voicing their position and praise BHP for being more mature about it? | ![]() lowtrawler
27/8/2020 16:06 | Pob, I've seen lots of press coverage on Newcrest being opposed to the deal and seem to recall then quoting Newcrest in that. I've not seen anything other than speculation on BHP. | ![]() lowtrawler
27/8/2020 15:02 | I am listening to the CGP AGM presentation and Brooke Macdonald states a desire to "...stop the onerous Franco-Nevada NSR Agreement" making reference to "...sophisticated investors plus Newcrest and BHP do not want the FN agreement". These are direct quotes so can someone point me in the direction of where Newcrest and BHP have stated their position? Many thanks... SOLG $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador | ![]() pob69
27/8/2020 13:18 | I don't believe the PFS by itself will have much lasting influence on the price. It should confirm improvements to recoverable resource and give more accuracy on build costs. The clincher will be if they can show full funding plans but I suspect they'll need confirmation on the CGP bid for those. | ![]() lowtrawler
27/8/2020 12:41 | As far as I can see, the MMs are just walking the price up and down to try and generate interest. The current trading range is very wide with few buyers or sellers. Everyone keeping their powder dry for the fun and games over the next few weeks. | ![]() lowtrawler
27/8/2020 12:18 | Thanks Arcadian and alwaysevolving. Looks a bit better today on the share price front . Not long until the PFS lets hope the market will revalue the share . | ![]() mknight
27/8/2020 11:55 | Smoke and mirrors from all involved in the power play! Anyway, this is worth noting for the future of mining as to how serious the government is and how the majors relate to it SOLG $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador Ecuador to hire investment bank to value Llurimagua "...According to the source, Enami's share in Llurimagua would be of interest to "several top-tier companies," including Australian giant BHP." | ![]() pob69
27/8/2020 11:44 | New article on BHP repeating previously reported views SOLG $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador. BHP Group CEO Mike Henry has downplayed the likelihood of acquisitions to grow its exposure to "forward-facing" commodities copper and nickel in favor of early-stage partnerships... BHP .... having previously joint ventured with Luminex Resources Corp. on copper mining concessions in Ecuador and increased its interest in SolGold PLC which is developing the Cascabel copper-gold property in Ecuador. | ![]() pob69
27/8/2020 11:41 | I second that Arcadian / Mknight | ![]() alwaysevolving
27/8/2020 11:25 | MK I hope that you will be reassured to know that the serious investors here have never doubted your honesty, sincerity and commitment to help, inform, debate, share etc | ![]() arcadian
27/8/2020 11:17 | LT, because NM has so much in this himself one has to trust that he will do all he can to bring value to the fore. But as we are in the summer doldrums, I doubt we will see anything until the big eyeballs are back from their hols, usually around the second week in September. | ![]() lefrene |
