I've mentioned that registrations now open for Nick Mather presenting each morning of this 3 day conference Solgold as a silver sponsor SOLG $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador.

Whilst his presentation is only 5 minutes long one each day (so not sure what you can say in that time period!!!) I do note that that the CEO of Franco Nevada, Paul Brink, is the keynote speaker (40 min presentation) 45 minutes shortly after the conclusion of the Solgold presentation on the first day. May be worth tuning in for?

Mk, exploration is not an exact science and so we can hope for some good drill results but it's dangerous to assume they'll be good. I also think your price impacts for FNV and PFS are a little optimistic.I am hoping they announce a full financing plan alongside the PFS. If they do that, I believe we will get to 40p, it would be a combination of FNV, PFS and full funding.IF Porvenir turns out to be another Tier 1, I think we'll head towards 60p and maybe a little more. A second Tier 1 is also what will have bidder's queuing up to offer over 100p.

Despite not personally knowing you, I'm glad in knowing you won't be nursing that loss for much longer.I also see your position on averaging down now as well! I am sure you will be rewarded for your patience!

My position on it is:Whilst SOLG are slowly creeping up I have others which are holding sustained 10%+ daily. My aim is to put these profits into SOLG in the future before it kicks off. (Hopefully) I have a considerable amount of portfolio in SOLG (thank you once again for the tip off, Rouge) but there are other seriously under valued companies being exposed that will bring quicker gains for reinvestment. (My others I am planning for a 1-2 year hold, unless they really explode in the short term) Problem this has is that it requires patience, and a lot of PI's attention spans are getting shorter and shorter.

Not really MK, but people are hedging on other companies that are actually moving with the price of gold and silver. Regarding stick or twist on LSE, light hearted fun I'm sure, just like my post of buying a McLaren F1 LM...

Yes very quiet here .

Looks like most have not really done their sums .

It always amazes me why people buy on the news . 9 times out of 10 you earn the money buying well before the news .

Price today 26.6p

Franco news worth 4 to 5p

La Hueca ..approx 12p if good .

Provenir .. approx 12p if good .

Over 100 % upside on some expected news .

Alpala PFS should be worth another 12p

Anyway i have bought a few more today and expect to do well with the new purchases as well as those at 19.5p and a few at 23p .

LSE have also taken the eye off the ball with a game of stick or twist .. should be buy . Hold or sell .

Work out what good drilling results would do for the company ..

Good to see both copper and gold firming up again even if Solg apparently has none of it. Somebody give that Buffet chap a bell, perhaps he'd like to get in on the ground floor :¬)

As always an interesting read from AFR (behind paywall) following BHP results earlier today with reference to Solgold SOLG $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador.

Finding the next big thing
"...Copper and nickel are the examples BHP is most focused on. Its investment in Ecuador-focused copper and gold junior SolGold ....are all examples of the little bites BHP wants to take as it hunts for its next big thing.

"... Henry has now opened the door a fraction, telling investors that the group is prepared to “explore potential counter-cyclical acquisitions in producing or near producing high-quality assets”

Sorry. That should have been 27p. I hope it doesn't get near 0.27p... What a blunder.

Silver on $28 too. Good rises all round. It would be nice to settle on 0.27p at close, some good buys yesterday.

I`m patient with ARs but optimistic about SOLG.

Asiamet's BKM is a lot smaller in a jurisdiction that if anything is dodgier than Ecuador. And its NPV is very very much lower (at current copper prices) At least Alpala has gold to buoy it up. And ARS's Beutong project in Sumatra is also a lot smaller and way way behind Alpala in development. It is however in a highly prospective location. But will take a lot of time and much more dilution than is in line for Alpala. ! Is that enough ?

Anyone familiar with the Asiamet story explain why what happened there won't happen here? ARS has no income so repeated placements reduced the upside considerably. Although buy out talks underway so could see near term upside there. How does SOLG avoid the dilution risk that so hurt ARS?

Price if porvenir looks good ... 38p

If la Hueca looks good as well maybe 50p

With two chances 26.9p looking cheap imho

Aplala on its own should see us to 40p plus come PFS .

If we have 2 tier 1's, are we too small to develop both?

Trying to look on the bright side, Porvenir appears to be over twice the size of Alpala. If it also has a higher mineral content, it could presumably be worth more than twice as much. With the markets tendency to over react, what price would we reach?
lowtrawler

In my view, Porvenir should be more advanced than La Hueca as it already had drilling platforms and appears to be a higher priority target. If so, it's a mystery why no drilling commenced announcement was made, similar to La Hueca. I'm hoping it means they are going to make their first announcement with actual lab checked values. If they are, it would mean SOLG are expecting the drill samples to offer up good results. If they really did commence drilling a month ago, they could have the results back around now. Fingers crossed as it's certainly possible Porvenir will put Alpala in the shade.

Mk, if there is an RNS, doubt it will be price sensitive. Likely another exploration update. Going back to my call for any geologists to comment on the rock-saw samples, are they comparable to Alpala? When we get some drill results, what should we be looking out for?
