Everything seems geared towards a tussle in October when BHP are out of purdah, the recent shareholders can trade and now CGP need to show their cards. Will someone jump the gun or will they all play the October date?

If NC have any real interest in Solg now would be the time to move.. aggressive chess play by NM.

From the looks of things, the offer has not got the support of CGP management or they would have said so. I suspect it will go unrecommended and therefore likely fail. As I said a couple of days ago, CGP will be gambling on a bid where they can be king makers.

I'm confident this will be followed by a steady stream of news...

Franco Nevada signoff;

Regular drilling reports, especially from the 'shallow' prospects;

All them making the CGP offer more tasty by the week...especially as the SOLG share price rises steadily...

BHP cannot bid for CGP before Oct 15 unless CGP divests itself of the remainder of its SOLG holding...

So in a way this acts as a SOLG bid defence also...if it comes off SOLG will be even more valuable, but in the meantime the steadily rising SOLG share price means a bid from anyone will have to be higher...

Unless they get in quick...

But as I've said, the first bidder won't win here unless they come in with a 'knockout' bid, or unless they have a significantly higher bid than the opening shot up their sleeve...

Le the auction begin...as I've said, there's a giant game of 'chicken' about to be played out by the major gold, copper and copper/gold players...

Who will win...? Fait vos jeux mes amis...my chips are on Barrick...

AIMHO as usual...

Nick Mather

11 Solg :1 CGP offer deadline 14/10 22% premium on last nigrht's closing price.

"This is an exciting value enhancing opportunity, providing Cornerstone shareholders with a premium over the current market price for their Cornerstone investment and continued participation in a consolidated and much more attractive ownership structure for the world-class copper-gold porphyry Alpala Project in northern Ecuador.

In addition to this, Cornerstone shareholders will gain exposure to and the upside of SolGold's extensive additional exploration tenure position throughout Ecuador. We invite Cornerstone investors to be a part of SolGold's ultimate vision to become a major copper-gold mining company in Ecuador where SolGold's award-winning exploration teams have identified a number of priority copper gold targets with similar or better prospects than even Alpala, and are rapidly advancing these. You can be part of this exciting plan ."

Thanks - that's the one from last week's event which sadly was a pre-recording prior to the the Craig Jones news. There is a strong expectation that Nick Mather will offer a further interview to respond to all the questions which was asked live.

In the words of the host - "...All the questions are sent to Nick with the purpose of him answering them in a follow up video. I for one would be bitterly disappointed if this was not actioned."

Luckily Solg has enough going on with 72 approved concessions, so even if they did lose 19 of them it is not going to spoil things too much given the scale of Cascabel, and the very undervalued share price, that doesn't come anywhere near fair value for just one site on Cascabel. My guess is that once a mine gets up and running, and one tribe see's how well another tribe with a mine prospers, then they too will want some of the same. You can always reforest after the mining is over.

Important new reading concerning the Los Cedros Protected National Forest (impacting on Cornerstone who have a strategic partnership with ENAMI). Of interest to Solgold SOLG $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador

Constitutional Court could save Australian-Government-funded Reserve in Ecuador from mining

"...Meanwhile, the mining company Cornerstone Capital Resources continued exploration within the protected area in direct contravention of the court order, despite overwhelming opposition in the region, and without the appropriate permits.

Solgold is not impacted by Los Cedros but as is already known (and as detailed in the maps provided on the site)

"...Aussie miner SolGold would be most impacted by the ruling, with 19 concessions covering Protected Forests and 18 covering Indigenous territories."

The good part of Solg is that NM isn`t going for the big boys screw the small boys
scenario. He`s got the money to mine all that gold which with mining costs of somewhere between $400-$800 per OZ makes a gold profit of $22 Billion and rising give or take a bit of NPV and start up costs.

Oh yes and they will probably bring up a shed load of copper waste but it just might be worth something--currently $2.68 per lb and surprise surprise there`s a vast amount of copper down there.

Given that the big miners could strike at any time shorting this would seem to me to be absolute folly as well as very costly.

Solg is not your average small miner. It has clout and everyone knows it.

these faroff goldcos are sitting ducks for shorting. hgm next easy target may switch short into that due to cash needs, discounted placing to mates likely imho so easy 40% drop there.want another 5p here. i'll reply to messages with next rec when weve done due diligence but for now solg for 5% drop geared to 20 30% then hgm easy target 35% geared to 130%. pgms very positive market outlook real demand.
