25/6/2020 20:31 | Snippets from Solgold presentation... TBH it was pretty anodyne, delivered in Nick's characteristic monotone... "A $550 million MCap makes us very vulnerable to an opportunistic takeover..." "Craig Jones from Newcrest is on our Board..." No he's not! Given that the presentation was supposedly made 'earlier today', does that suggest the Newcrest resignation was a surprise? Excruciating patronising reference to "the ladies of Solgold..." "Solgold is in the process of bidding for Cornerstone...the alternatives to that bid are not dissuasive..." He doesn't sound confident of succeeding with the bid... "Solgold has received 10 qualifying bids for the offtake of copper/gold/silver concentrate from Alpala. This points to a strong outcome in the generation of a near term development funding package..." "The Franco Nevada deal equates to a $3 billion NPV as opposed to a $550 million market cap..." "We have the opportunity of a $1 billion upfront financing based on a stream from a gold streaming company and we're working on debt deals with sovereign import and export credit agencies and that will provide hopefully $2 billion of the $2.7 billion that we need to develop this project..." BINGO! "we are the most financeable copper gold porphyry project in the world..." "We're on track to deliver the PFS study by end Q3, early Q4..." That's cutting it fine with BHP... "DFS by the end of Q3 2021..." More slippage... "there's more (regional) applications that are close to grant..." "We have three other projects that we're drilling on and another 2 or three that we're working on to get the permits..." "We have 5 or 6 projects that stand out and look even better than Alpala did...they look way better than Alpala did and we own 100%..." Now THAT is rocket fuel... "Rio Amarillo has four different targets and the best of those has a litho cap on it that is better than Alpala..." "At Porvenir we have outcrops that are twice the length and the same grade or better than Alpala..." "These things (the 5/6 projects) all have outcrops and we don't need to drill them to define them..." So in conclusion, this was a disgracefully low key presentation from a guy who keeps his company is massively undervalued! However...it was worthwhile reminding us of the mind-blowing potential, with at least another 5/6 projects "at least as big as Alpala..." My own conclusion...how on earth is he going to fend off a bid for what is truly a Tier 1 Major in the making and must be the most bankable, financeable, biddable company on the planet. The challenge for would be bidders is, how long do you dare hold off your bids when SOLG is drilling on 'outcrops' on all these other 100% owned projects... I can assure you all that, whatever happens to the share price I am holding LONG and STRONG! | ![]() rougepierre
25/6/2020 20:06 | You copied the whole post including # stuff and passed it off as your own on another site. Apology accepted but you do realise plenty of others do exactly the same on that board too and I have mentioned it to them and I don't want to hurt their feelings as I need to be consistent.... | ![]() pob69
25/6/2020 19:58 | Sorry if it hurt ur feelings Pob, ur posts are useful but if something is publicly available why would I attribute it to you, We are here to make money but point noted for the future. | phattrader1
25/6/2020 19:55 | The interview with pro-active was pre-recorded earlier in the day so it missed the news of Craig Jones' resignation Solgold SOLG $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador The presentation used the presentation deck the link I posted yesterday. Questions will be recorded and a video will be made subsequently to address them. | ![]() pob69
25/6/2020 19:22 | Pob I`m glad that you ( unlike me) are not a whimp as I and many others benefit from your staying awake and sharing your findings.. | ![]() arcadian
25/6/2020 19:02 | PhatT - Like so many others on another UK board you have copied the above without attributation (whilst awaiting the Solgold presentation.) I have eyes everywhere, so recognition is welcome! | ![]() pob69
25/6/2020 18:27 | Investors Chronicle in a review of Mining opportunities post-covid has this to say about Solgold SOLG $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador. "...Among the developers, SolGold (SOLG) is the focus. It has said for years it wants to take copper-gold project Alpala all the way to production, but a cash takeover offer from BHP (BHP) somewhere above 40p is likely to be persuasive to shareholders." | ![]() pob69
25/6/2020 17:45 | Bid coming! lol desperado. 10p coming more like. Bootm draw short | ![]() pmount

25/6/2020 15:37 | True. It's an enigma. | ![]() mam fach
25/6/2020 15:21 | Mf, if everyone agreed a hostile bid was coming, the price would be much higher | ![]() lowtrawler
25/6/2020 15:08 | We all know there's a hostile bid coming. NM seems to be doing his best to avoid it. But, time is dragging on and LTH's getting dismayed. Progress on explorations excellent- progress on share price pathetic. | ![]() mam fach
25/6/2020 14:21 | If our speculation on the Newcrest activity being related to a takeover is valid, there is no reason for any delay in making an approach. Newcrest began making unhappy noises a couple of months ago which will have given plenty of time to arrange a bid. At the current low price, what better time? | ![]() lowtrawler
25/6/2020 14:13 | They’re both on 13% ish so can be further diluted by about 25-30% hahaha I predict the first lowball offer to come in July of 33p. | phattrader1
25/6/2020 13:12 | Rp, apologies. Although both BHP and Newcrest have anti dilution clauses, they only kick in if the share issue would dilute them below 10%. | ![]() lowtrawler
25/6/2020 11:51 | If that's true, its fascinating and puts another spin on Sandeep throwing his toys out of the pram.... | ![]() rougepierre
25/6/2020 11:47 | Rp, the only strange thing in the whole affair is why neither BHP not Newcrest took up their rights in the placing as they both have anti dilution clauses. If they were planning a bid, it would have been in their own interests to up their stakes. | ![]() lowtrawler
25/6/2020 11:20 | SP Angel's view on new recruitment Solgold SOLG $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador. "...As Solgold’s exploration success at Alpala evolves into mine development, the appointment of two key mining engineers is an important step on the road to delivering a successful mine. Making the appointments ahead of the planned completion of the PFS and transition to DFS level work should give the engineers responsible for delivering the mine the opportunity to contribute at the design and planning stage and aid the project execution. We look forward to the PFS in September." | ![]() pob69

25/6/2020 10:50 | Good riddance, let`s get of the Newcrest and BHP MONKEY OFF OUR BACKS!!!. Full support for NM and board to TAKE sOLGOLD to an independent major gold/copper world player. Nothing will be decided by Cornerstone, Newcrest or BHP,it will in the final analysis, be decided by the entirety of Solgold shareholders. | ![]() tibszol1
25/6/2020 10:46 | Will he/ they mention it at the next PR session to give us a clue as to what`s going on? | ![]() arcadian
25/6/2020 10:26 | Ramping and price drops? Perhaps we need a de-raper! We had thought it strange that Newcrest didn't take part in fundraising. Has there been some sort of disagreement on way forward ?- Don't know. Is it sign Newcrest intend to bid ?- Don't know. Is NM taking it to production ?- Don't know. Why is price falling ? -Don't know. Tech appointments seem to have experience in the field. Interesting one has worked for Barrick gold for 10 years. All in NM's hands isn't it and he knows. | ![]() mam fach |
