Good Morning lowtrawler .

It might be the market just wants to be shown the money . Believe it when i see it comes to mind .Whats the trick ..

Throw in a Dozyduck who wants to scare you out of your shares and hey presto you sold them . You cant win can you ?

Fear and gread fighting each other .sometimes you have to go with your gut
When everybodys telling you to hold you sold if that was your gut telling you to sell them very well done . If your gut is telling you to buy them back think if the shares were valued at 10p would it mean financial trouble ? If the answer is yes please donot buy them back because it could happen .

Don't think any of us are experienced mining investors.
When SOLG was floated it was @ 50p.
Their original investments not borne fruit but their acreages in Equador
are priceless. We all know this. But it is time to let us in on the plan.
This could well be this week.IMHO.

What caused my recent breakdown in confidence regarding SOLG? Answer: We announced new offtake financing and the market shrugged it's shoulders and spat the news out. I hadn't been expecting that and I suddenly realised just how little I really new about mining investment.

I don't know what aces NM has up his sleeve and I certainly cannot predict how the market will react to the likely positive information NM will release this week. I don't believe there is any immediate downside to the SOLG share price and I would like to think that positive information will lead to improved sentiment and price appreciation.

My heart tells me that the price should be moving towards 30p and this is supported by the stream of good news. However, the market has, so far, not agreed. My brain has not been able to bridge this disconnect and experienced mining investors, like DD, are expressing surprise that anything different was expected.

I will be delighted if normal service resumes this week with positive news leading to price appreciation. It may even help restore some of my lost confidence. On the other hand, if we get positive news and no significant change in the price, it's time to start listening to the experienced mining investors and not people like me.

If i am honest unless there is a takeover bid i cannot see the 60p options being in the money .

40p is possible .

The more i think about DD,s only 3% of the stock not in solid hands it make me think the share price could soar even more than i thought ..

Great if those options are in the money come August .

I also read on the SOLG website that BHP provides secondees to the drilling sites and imo they have a closer relationship than most Shareholder - Company relationships.
SOLG is being mentored by BHP and BHP know more about Alpala than some SOLG employees!

Also there are a bunch of management options due to expire this August at 60p. Let’s hope they expire “in the money” 😅

Price not going to stay at 20p is it.
Sooner rather than later it's going to head for 60p.

So you think they may take options from 37 to 60p.

No i didnt think so .

But they would be happy to recieve 3 or 4 percent at
20p or maybe more to up their holding .Infact it would be the only way according to you to up their holding .

They'd never be able to buy enough on the open market. The shares would rapidly rise to a price they wouldn't want to pay. Only 3.5% free shares (somebody said) don't forget. Its the practicality of getting hold of enough shares that determines whether bids are attempted, In Solg's case, they're almost all tied up.

I honestly cannot see BHP paying us 37 to 60p when they can buy on the open market for 20p . If it was to take control of the company it would be differen .They would only recieve 10 percent more of the company . Not sure NM would want them to be up to 25 either

The 150 million will be from traders and smelters .. If they do a placing we may well see BHP increase their stack by 3 or 4 % as a complete guess

That would go down well with the market. .

I worked out if BHP were to exercise their options at 37-60p they would pay another £100m to us. Maybe they will agree to exercise these options and raise part of the $150m?

This is the ideal time to ask questions and maybe NM has an ace up his sleeve? Has he ever done an update via Webinar before?

Get the questions rolling. I have registered and will join live.

I do think we should all have a dose of Kenny Rogers "The Gambler" and do the counting when the dealing is done. Won`t be too long now.

But it also brings up an important point

With the finace arriving Solgold dont need to take silly prices . The stress is off .Meaning we will get what its true worth is not a forced sell .

Gold just about to get back to 1700 .a couple of bad days in the market and we will be testing 1770

ntbb - 10 bids ? But only for offtake price to their smelters. You imply its for Alpala itself - nonsense !
