The order book had a different mind that yours and finished at best of the day 21.55 v 21.65

Some large late reporting where done earlier during the day and must be the reason for the change of direction. The UT of 21.60 was for 201K

It's a huge buying opportunity now jjstim, there aren't many world class deposits with favourable infrastructure that can be got up and running for circa $3 billion, and still have hundreds of $ billions worth of other prospects to be picked over at leisure.

Another tactic by NM, might be to moth ball the whole thing until the government finally sorts out drill permits, and the price of copper finally begins to reflect the supposed shortage that is supposedly looming over the market. Looking at the repo market cash crisis and the ECB pumping E20 billion a month to keep the plates spinning, I can't see gold staying under $1500 for very long.

I read alot of the time that with the current lack of funds BHP and Newcrest can wait for Solgold to run out of money before makong a cheap takeover bid . My answer to that is NM can raise money at 10p a share or 15p . This not only dilutes our holding but also theirs so is it really in their interests for this to happen if they want to be part of the company or even own it .would they not be risking a third party taking a massive holding .

Imho it would make sense for them to pay 30/35p to increase their holding and dilute us .

With the share price at 21p most would be singing the praises of NM

One hopes your timing is spot on kaos3. About three weeks before Newcrest is released from purdah, perhaps we might see them do something soon after? If the plan was to drive down the share price to assist Newcrest in getting CGP on the cheap, then the plan is working!

Is anyone aware if $SOLG $SOLG.L #ecuador SolGold is attending IMARC, Mines and Money London or Mining121 London over the next couple of months? I can see NED Liam Twigger is attending them representing PCF Capital though there doesn't appear to be any direct company representation currently listed which is surprising mindful of any potential news stream?

Dangerously low to a takeover bid with a value of only 385 million . The chinese like a bargain .

Still charts are pointing downwards, still not in oversold territory as well, could go as low as 12p or lower.

20,90 finish again lost over 3%, surely now you must have to agree, its time NM stepped down, the guy is a clown, and if BHP and newcrest wont take part in the next placement, well thats the end of solgold, with just enough money to survive to year end, BHP can pick up solgold for nothing next year.

Excellent links yet again... Thanks pob69

In a way it highlights my views.
To fully exploit the resources will take time.
The impoverished inhabitants also need to allow time.
It really is not a case of turning up, proving gold/copper resources exist and handing out wads of cash straight away.
It takes time money and resources to create the infrastructure and to determine resource requirements.
In time the locals will benefit just as shareholders will benefit.
In this world though where a phot can be taken 10,000 miles away and be beamed onto everyone's media device in seconds so is wealth demanded that way.
There is gold in them thar hills..
Where is our share is the immediate cry..

There is life changing opportunities present, not just for shareholders who will doubtless experience massive increases in wealth (Unless they are the 10% and run gang) but also for inhabitants who will benefit from the investment in their areas. Jobs, schooling, healthcare, and the list goes on.

It does however take time... And patience is a virtue.

"impatience", this jam tomorrow scenario has been playing for about four years now, 20p to 45p and back again. Yes there has been huge progress at Cascabel/Alpala and plainly the resources are huge there with very favourable aspects as available power not too far away and plenty of water. Plus the other resources in the South of the country, but it's the hidden politics both intra company's and local people. Thus concerns over all the politics and the raising of money creates significant uncertainty, hence the price drifts South as those uncertainties prey upon the minds of shareholders. Once some clarity appears, perhaps when Newcrest come out of purdah and the CGP conundrum is settled, I would expect some confidence to re-appear. Get a funding deal with Banks and the thing looks like a goer once again. I don't know what the game of withholding information achieves, as presumably CGP knows as much about what is in the ground as Solg management does? Unless it's a ploy to do with raising Bank funds, or a ploy to stall a swoop at too low a price by the likes of BHP? Cascabel itself is too rich a prize to be ignored, the scale of it will provide profits for half a century or more, with initial outlay paid back very quickly in industry terms. Whatever is going on will at some point come to an end, and with Newcrest released from mid October, I would guess that something will happen soon after.

Diagonal a Blanca is Cascabel, located in the province of Imbabura, and concessioned to the Ecuadorian company Exploraciones Novomining SA, also a subsidiary of Solgold . The Australian firm has an 85% stake in this mine considered as the largest in the world in copper, gold and silver. It is estimated that it has 10.9 million tons of copper. That would mean 25% of the world's reserves of precious mineral, key to the industry. They also announced 23.3 million ounces of gold, and its high concentration of ore per ton.

25% of the worlds copper reserves is a big deal.

Interesting article focused on the needs of the locals. Always need to consider the motives of the author/publisher. I hope that SOLG will do everything possible to benefit the local community. I think they have shown regard in the past, so no reason to doubt.
