Will be interesting to see the outcrop results. THere is no doubt that SOLG seem to have followed the rather simply idea that the Andean copper belt woul dhave to continue through Ecuador. Exciting times if the copper just keeps on falling out of the ground. TRansition from explorer to producer is the big one though and one where many a company makes a few errors along the way

I like this bit :-

...............................

"A recent site visit by SRK Exploration consultants saw major developments in the accuracy and predictive nature of the geological modelling at Alpala. The geological auditing process forming the basis of the Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), has now advanced the detailed hand contoured geological interpretations in level plan and cross section, into accurate representation within the Leapfrog(TM) 3D modelling environment.

This collaborative approach is resulting in a high-confidence geological model that will accurately estimate the resource potential, through incorporation of the Alpala genetic model, deposit geometry, intensity of mineralisation and grade distribution."

.................................

It's telling us that their advanced methods are winning recognition and credibility from the accepted experts in authenticating mineral/metal discoveries. This could accelerate the proving up of future finds across the new tenements.

Also good to know that they will bring out an MRE before the end of the year, I guess they have learnt the damage that can be done by failing to deliver as advertised re the recent TSX and LSE moves.

90 day updates will be most welcome. Those powerful new drills will generate good news flow.

Again not to disappoint but i dont think the numbers from teh resource in December are going to be mind blowing. This is based purely on an interview where it was explicitly stated that they didnt think the numbers would be huge in this report. They were careful to make clear that this was only going to be the maiden report and that upgrades to it would then be prodiced throughout 2018.

If there is 10 million tons of copper in Cascabel and if just one tenth of the new specs come up to that there could be 70 million tons of copper altogether. Of course it's a long way to having copper in the ground and getting it to market, but the figures are huge. $7000 x 70 million is $490 billion? Just 1% is $4.9 billion.

Ecuador is going to be huge for all the suppliers of mining equipment, perhaps time to move to Quito and set up 'Rent-a-Drill' :¬)

Not very long ago 50p seemed impossible. Did get to 46p but fallen back since.
Nice thought though £12, But that's all it is.
The impossible dream !!!

Solg has a large and growing number of tenements, there could be several more Cascabels to be found but it does take time. Hopefully Alpala will get sold for a large lump of money, and that money can be put to work buying a large number of powerful drills to ramp up the pace of exploration. Solg now has a "blueprint" for finding likely prospects, if that "blueprint" becomes respected in the industry then we might see Solg bought out simply to secure that skill for one of the big hitters. So while we sit and wait for something to be proved up, there might well be others seeking to grab and carve up Solg.

probably a very naive comment but how about some easy some surface gold production

lefrene,

Might get there one day but will we still be around?! I'd be happy with £2 by December 2018. Not too fanciful a target if NM spends some of the bought deal financing cash on exploring La Hueca and (his words)"rapidly advancing this large and rich system". A few high grade, shallower holes here would transform Solg prospects.

It's fun speculating on these things, but £12 would do very nicely mam fach.

When you know you have 180 million shares on tap at 25p, then you will be quite happy to sell forward at 26p 26.25p 26.5p 26.75p 27p, it's free money at no risk whatsoever.

Perhaps we should be considering what the price will be two weeks from now? Those shares will be in the market but locked down for four months for the Canadians, the company will have enough cash for 18 months or so, there's bound to be a release of assay results, and perhaps other positive news? Copper and gold don't seem to be going out of style just yet, and half the planet seems hell bent on pushing electric vehicles. 50p by Christmas?
