ODR Banks are usually tight with their money (except in housing booms :¬) ), so they won't have paid out £45m in expectation of losing money, indeed I presume this deal is so that those Banks can fill the boots of their private clients? If so I guess they have a vested interest in ensuring that the price doesn't drop below 25p? But then I thought the Newcrest deal at 41p had put a floor under the price!!

So what advantage has NM won, having postured as not being cash strapped? He's lost the confidence of some of us, but presumably made a few friends who demanded 'mates rates' and got them. I suppose it's the price that has to be paid to speed up the march towards getting something into production. Just for once I'd like to see something delivered early, instead of things being later than advertised, and deals like this which suggests they are not being straight about cash burn.

At least these Banks now have a vested interest in seeing Solg progress, which I guess is a positive.

Agreed lefrene ... SOLG have just sold 45m quid worth of shares for 25p ... for now, why should the mm price different.

Although encouraging buying currently

I think it will sit at these levels for quite a time unless there is a deal out of the blue. It might be sat on vast reserves of copper and gold, but it's behaving just like a typical AiM stock, late on everything and economical with the truth about money requirements.

The price will presumably go to 25p and sit there until the deal completes on Nov 30th. I guess the underwriters expect to be able to sell these 25p shares on for a profit? Perhaps a thin profit, but a profit all the same. OK they need more working capital, you think they could have waited for the Maiden Resource, I think this tells us the Maiden Resource will be late, probably several weeks (12?) late.

So that's pushing towards 1.8 billion shares now in flotation. I would guess a lot of small holders will sell in disgust, especially given the repeated claim that they have plenty of cash, evidently they do not! It is also obvious that some market players had a good idea of what and when, given the price action over the last month or so.

So will Newcrest buy some of that new stock, or will yet more be pumped out to Newcrest to maintain their percentage?

I currently feel like NM has put a pair of muddy 1950's football boots on and kicked me between the legs so hard I'm wearing my testicles as earrings.

However personally he has a lot of skin in the game and I'm hoping there is a method in his madness and he has a masterstroke up his sleeve and all will be revealed over the next few weeks / months.

The LSE chat has quite a few saying the share price might in fact rise tomorrow.
Absolutely no chance of that ! I'm expecting a 15% to 20% drop and anything less will be a bonus.

Thankfully of course it's not just about tomorrow but that said tin hats ready lads.

Think NM might want placing funds to make sure he has funds to take us as far as production without worry of being a take over target.
How far away we are from production is any ones guess.
My gut feeling is we will get another RNS soon with good news.
Who knows what will happen to share price tomorrow .
FWIW don't like a sneaky after hours RNS.

Well, well, well now we know what was holding price back.
Cornerstone can't be happy @ purchase @ 41p.
On a personal note this is the first time NM has put a foot wrong.
But let's hope he can redeem himself with news of production soon.
So disappointed .

My previous post ref last weeks action now explains itself.

Major new find last week and major increase to an exsiting find and price up only 3p.

Now you get this.

Some of the insiders who are involved in the manipulation will be reading this and laughing. Hope that curse I put on your children comes to fruition.

Explains why there werent willing to release a we know of no reason for the fall. As i said ealier though I'm still surprised as to why they felt the need to do teh fundrasinign now. They have plenty in teh bank for the planned drills next year so I would have thought they would wait until the resource statmwetn was released and they had proven up a bit more resource.

I'll tell you why this is overvalued.

515m market cap.

If this was producing and churning out profits of 40m sterling on a PE of 13 the current price would be fair value.

But it is years away from producing at commercial rates

and

will need substantial further funding.
