27/7/2020 12:08 | NM has my vote! | ![]() greenelf
27/7/2020 11:08 | NM is the only person who will deliver true value of Solgold to ALL shareholders. We can see the sharks and spivs circling with Cornerstone and their sycophantic acolytes badmouthing everything Solgold`s BOD are trying to achieve, and looking to line their own pockets at others expense, looks like the game is about to get very dirty. I would like to see Franco Nevada and Citi show outright support for NM and counter some of the negative dis-information doing the rounds, I for one, if ever I get the opportunity to meet NM, would be delighted to buy him a beer or two to share. | ![]() tibszol1
27/7/2020 10:25 | Arcadian, Well said. I had the good fortune to meet NM at a mines and money conference in london several years ago. He came across as persuasive, energetic, dogged, straightforwa My money is literally with NM who is playing his hand well IMO. Let's hope the drill does the talking soon. | pecker1
27/7/2020 10:22 | Looks like we have a few new fans judging by some of the repetitive trades | ![]() boris cobaka
27/7/2020 10:09 | boris cobaka, I suspect you are correct, NM won't roll over for the big boys, and I suspect that NM has been bulldozed in the past by the heavyweights. All the sounds off stage will likely come together when BHP gets out of purdah mid October. Gold is hitting new highs, silver is also ramping up, copper usually follows a few weeks behind, thus the asset value is rising. | ![]() lefrene
27/7/2020 10:03 | I like Nick. He makes great discoveries , is good on SEG, gets on with the government in Ecuador, is good for the people there and won`t sell for a fraction of the asset`s worth especially now that he has enough money to be independent of the leverage of the majors. One day I hope to shake him by the hand and thank him personally. For me that would be a very satisfactory outcome. | ![]() arcadian
27/7/2020 09:54 | Cornerstone's argument that the offer undervalues it so they should get more Solg shares is nonsense if Solg and CGP's shares are equally undervalued. To value CGP at a better discount than Solg itself means giving its shareholders a higher % of the combined co than is warranted. So that's one instance of CGP's muddled (or Machiavellian) thinking (and of those who agree with it) As for the other strands of its argument they seem trivial and just a matter of their (probably distorted) opinion of NM. And Newcrest's tantrum is because its missed the chance of a lucrative streaming deal for itself (a la its recent deal with fruta del norte) All in all am coming round to the view NM is brighter than his critics. But he should still consider hiving off Alpala (or selling it) | dozyduck
27/7/2020 09:50 | NM wouldn't toe the line or follow the script as dictated by certain 'major' investors. NM having effectively told certain 'majors' to 'suck it up' has then doubled down with the cornerstone lowball... Now it's time to get rid. More than one where knight.... | ![]() boris cobaka
27/7/2020 09:42 | For mknight... willem middelkoop @wmiddelkoop We have been very loyal shareholders of #SolGold, responsible for a wonderful gold/copper discovery in Ecuador. We support #Cornerstone in their attempts to change $SOLG CEO leadership. CEO Nick Mather’s sometimes bizarre behaviour makes him unfit for the job now .. ---- willem middelkoop @wmiddelkoop 3h - Replying to @wmiddelkoop "He (Nick Mather) has signaled that he will resist a campaign to remove him from the helm of the hotly contested copper and gold explorer." ---- willem middelkoop @wmiddelkoop Dutch (Geneva’62) - serial crisis predictor - Commodity Discovery Fund - 8 books - OMFIF advisor - STH/CCV director - ex (photo)journalist - BTC=DigitalGold2013 | ![]() jwafc

27/7/2020 08:38 | Cant see that one pob69 as iam not on twitter i guess . Iceberg at 24p .. | ![]() mknight
27/7/2020 07:48 | After Chris Temple's comment on Nick Mather's approach (National Investor Newsletter) last week, we now have Willem Middlekoop @discoveries (Commodity Discovery Fund) also coming out with comment on his approach. These are long-term supporters of Solgold with no axe to grind so well worth noting what they say SOLG $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador. | ![]() pob69
27/7/2020 07:24 | I've never gone away. I've held Solg since 2.5p when I put lots of others in. I just monitor the price it justifies and part slice and dice accordingly. new info means new opinion. 'Don't you think ? Alpala just gets more and more valuable. But the rest of Solg doesn't - yet. NM should set his strategy accordingly. | dozyduck
27/7/2020 05:17 | Doesn't matter whether you are producing or not when you reach this 'euphoric' stage in a price rise. Just look at the behavior of the junior / microcap indices or etf's. They're going ballistic too as they have done historically in these situations. Not many juniors now that haven't been swept up.... Solg a bit if an anomaly at the mo. Priced to go bust I guess ;) BTW last thing potential bidders want now us for solg share price to enjoy a substantial boost due to a sector rerate.... Anyone not restricted may have to make a move now or risk paying a much greater premium. Let the games begin.... although they're already underway I suspect. | ![]() boris cobaka
27/7/2020 04:17 | Gold going bonkers again ..1930 really has to move our share price soon as more get on board . We are not mining yet but the PFS is going to be very rich | ![]() mknight
26/7/2020 20:44 | Welcome aboard DD. Good to see you doing a Keynes. Good to know that the Chairman of Franco knows his gold and presumably likes what he sees in Solg. Thanks to ManF on Lse | ![]() arcadian

26/7/2020 18:30 | Lol.....mkrampynight A broken clock is more accurate than your predictions Those buys at 26.8 must really be hurting judging from the bs you post daily........ | ![]() nas_daq
26/7/2020 17:50 | The sobering thought to carry is that there is rarely a bid with a premium in excess of 100%. Acting together, the IIs can chuck out the current board. Two hats in the ring should have ensured competition, but this project is sufficiently large to be shared (as many are). I would have thought that an early bid (possibly joint)is the likely consequence. Having a board that says "yes" is a pre-requisite and I guess Cornerstone are front running getting that in place. No chance of PIs stopping either that, or any subsequent bid, as most(because of the Nominee situation)rarely bother to vote. In any event, the numbers are stacked against the PIs if the majors act together. I don't think that the Ecuadorian Govt. are going to protest about the takeover by a major. They, in the current situation with low oil prices, will simply want to see this developed and starting to contribute to their depleted coffers. | ![]() charlieeee
26/7/2020 13:09 | Glad you joined the party at last DD . Free money at 23p Next week it should be more difficult to keep the price down as more see the light . | ![]() mknight
26/7/2020 12:11 | could it be that any bid for Solgold might run into severe Ecuadorean government displeasure and regulatory hurdles. Lets face it, any bidder for Solgold is looking to strip out as much money as they possibly can from Ecuador`s mining assets, not a situation Ecuador would be happy with. If I was NM, I would be working very closely with the relevant government departments to ensure that mining brings maximum benefit for the Ecuadorean people, which I am lead to believe is very much Solgolds strategy, NM has frequently alluded to the good close working relationship Solgold has with the government and how supportive they are in Solgold`s efforts to build a world class mining industry in Ecuador. In the midst of all the wild speculation and assumptions regarding possible bids for Solgold, what makes these mad posters think that any bid at the ludicrous levels being touted would succeed. Only a complete lunatic would contemplate accepting bids at a ridiculous 60p or 80p. The potential for Solgold is many times higher, NM has himself stated that should a ridiculously high offer be made, then the BOD would have to give serious thought to recommending it to shareholders, but certainly not at these laughable low levels being currently touted. | ![]() tibszol1
26/7/2020 09:23 | Re FNV loan Been doing some calcs on the PEA for another purpose and realised that with gold at $1,850 and assuming (as seems likely) copper gets back to $7,300/t, FNV will get back its $100m in only the first four years of Alpala production, another $100m in the next four years, and gravy in the form of an over 30% return for ever afterwards. Shows why Newcrest is miffed and why the streamers (like FNV) are so immensely profitable. Also realised that gold at $1,850 will account for almost 50% of first four years Alpala revenue (assuming copper at $7,300) and is likely will enable a much higher NPV in the forthcoming PFS/BFS. No wonder NM is biding his time (with a concealed smirk on his face ?) In considering the NPV, don't forget the vast part of it accrues in the first ten years Alpala operation (revenues (esp gold) tail off significantly afterwards) which means it is more valuable than would seem. Explains the short payback and why I'm changing my mind in favour of possible bid (for Alpala if not Solg) | dozyduck |
