16/10/2019 13:25 | So as of tomorrow Newcrest are out of lock down and free to buy or not to buy. Let’s hope we get some action and excitement over the coming weeks? I don’t think it will take much action , especially any kind of corporate activity to see many pilling back in here given recent developments on the ground in Ecuador? | ![]() alwaysevolving
15/10/2019 19:47 | This is a newy published report from the Trade Office of Ecuador in the UK promoting investment in Ecuador (produced after the CC judgement but prior to the recent riots!). The report has plenty of references to $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador SolGold Plenty of quotes from Nick Mather and Jason Ward (and other companies like Lundin Gold) - pages 24-32 "Jason Ward believes that its particularly important that the pioneers, like Lundin Gold and Solgold, don’t have a negative social or environmental impact. “From the very beginning we realised that we had to be a model company. That’s because we are going to be one of the first major mining projects in Ecuador, so it’s vital that we prove the industry can be responsible and sustainable. But also, because we have many more targets in the country, so Cascabel is our way of showing other communities that we can deliver economic and social development.” Nick Mather is conscious that Solgold’s projects must meet Ecuador’s economic needs “The most important reason why investors in Solgold can be sanguine about the political risk of our project is that we are partnering the country. If you look at our development plan, we’re not looking to high-grade the deposit and leave with big profits. We’ve designed it to maximise the lifecycle, which means more revenues for the government and employment for Ecuadorians… We’ve aligned our goals with the Ecuadorian people, which makes it politically sustainable in the long run.” Solgold's advert on page 27 states "SolGold’s 100-year vision for the Ecuadorean mining industry" | ![]() pob69
15/10/2019 10:47 | It does seem more likely that this will be a joint effort with Newcrest and BHP, perhaps they want Solg to raise loans though and do it with borrowed money? A lender would certainly be much reassured by having BHP/Newcrest on board sharing the development. There seems little doubt that this mine will get built, but how are shareholders going to be treated? | ![]() lefrene
15/10/2019 10:44 | Many months ago the vice president of mining said within 24 hrs there would be an annoucement of a major copper find . Nothing ever came , i still believe it was Solgold . When MRE3 comes out we will find out if it was Solgolds or not . Interesting to see if NEWCREST ties up a deal with Cornerstone before MRe3 comes out . | ![]() mknight
15/10/2019 10:31 | Amazing indifference from market at least so far. SOLG never over generous with RNS's so must feel confident and what they say about SOLG's part in the economic future of the country makes good sense. | ![]() paleje
15/10/2019 09:52 | Banksy Maybe many see the value of the project going forward . At these prices we could treble our money very quickly . | ![]() mknight
15/10/2019 09:49 | This share needs an injection of capital either a farm out or sale. That's the only way the share price is gonna move now. People losing patience over the last few years and frankly better plays out there | ![]() banksy
15/10/2019 09:49 | Mikalan Gap opened this morning glad its now closed . Should move up as the day goes on .. .. I hope. | ![]() mknight
15/10/2019 08:54 | Dropping back down again. Frustrating. Thought we might see a move up in anticipation of Newcrest news. I do feel that news is imminent - it must be! | ![]() mikalan
15/10/2019 08:48 | Arcadian We are in this share together and if you cannot have a bit of fun with me or any other poster then it would be sad . Onwards and upwards . | ![]() mknight
15/10/2019 08:48 | Great RNS. No delays encountered, 700 locals employed, full systems go. Got a feeling this will motor on next update | ![]() francoismyname

15/10/2019 08:37 | Mikalan Not sure why they would expect the other 12 sites to be endorsed by the government if the other 12 sites were in indigenous areas . Even more so when they say Alpala is out of indigenous site. | ![]() mknight
15/10/2019 08:20 | This is a strongly worded and positive statement. Not sure it says all 12 sites are outside indigenous areas MK | ![]() mikalan
15/10/2019 08:02 | Well the recent crash below 20p has served it's purpose with an effective clear out of the last remaining wavering bulls. The level of bearishness was significant enough to see mass capitulation. Oversold to the extreme. We know what happens next. | ![]() boris cobaka
15/10/2019 07:58 | I think there is alot in that rns . 1. BHP..Newcrst and Solgold are partners 2. The Government are working with SOlgold to explore and devolop a major mining business for the bebifit of Ecuador. 3. The 12 sites are outside any indigenous areas which may have caused a problem . 4. MRE3 confimed anytime soon as we are in Q4 | ![]() mknight
15/10/2019 07:29 | "..as Alpala moves into construction" Love the positive 'fighting talk'. Wonder if talks are going well with NC and BHP? Seems so from the tone. | ![]() greenelf
15/10/2019 04:31 | Very good Arcadian maybe your the politician here .. | ![]() mknight
14/10/2019 22:43 | I doubt it as you are either too rude/undiplomatic or you are a bad speller!!! On the plus side you seem to be a good plagiarist-- see above post 18279 | ![]() arcadian
14/10/2019 20:51 | Could be a smart move by Moreno . He has agreed to drop the oil prices but todo this he has to make the revenue elsewhere as he is sitting with the insidious tribes they may well agree that certain permits could fill the revenue lost as well as giving employment , education, healthcare etc to them . Maybe i should have been a politician . | ![]() mknight

14/10/2019 19:20 | Indeed it is his own view but worth recalling that Chris was an early investor in both Ecuador and Solgold before the herd moved in! This is from 2016. He has been bullish ever since... Solgold@SolGold_plc, 14 Sep 2016 on Twitter: "Looking forward to hosting you Chris ! Embedded a tweet from Christ Temple: "First report from Ecuador. Tomorrow, visiting the Cascabel project with Cornerstone Resources and Solgold ...kereport.com.." I hope you are right about the Blanca permit and clearly how it is linked to Cascabel physically and economically - a key driver for future national prosperity. It is true that getting any future social licence in Ecuador will be increasingly viewed with a fine toothcomb for "issues". | ![]() pob69
14/10/2019 19:04 | The podcast advertises the sponsoring company to much for me and the guest gets his co mentioned a lot as well. Can’t take them seriously due to that | ![]() francoismyname |
