mknight, yes getting the ducks lined up is a long game because as we all know Banks are a timorous but greedy lot, hence the hoops that have to be jumped to de-risk it for the lenders.

If it turns out that Alpala is comparatively cheap to mine, then there is a great play off. The banks might want 'in' because it's a dead cert, and the likes of BHP will then have to up their offer. If at the same time the 'lesser spotted copper drought beast' should happen along, then our waiting will have been worth it.

I meant the 'little guy' as Nick Mather. Someone with less experience might give in for a quick pay off, but Nick has made it clear that he can and will take it to production himself if he cannot get a proper value for it. Hence the effort to list on the TSX to get mining savvy Canadian bankers onside.

mknight, the game here seems about the big boys wanting something and staring down the little guy until they get it. Luckily the little guy here is a tough nut.

How long is a piece of a string !
My thoughts exactly - sell off Alpala keep the rest.

I'm sure NM would only want to sell Alpala, and retain the other prospects. So if Alpala holds circa $100 billion of metal and enjoys copious water and nearby grid power, just what percentage of $100bn is Alpala worth? 3% to 5%?

If I had designs on SOL I would lend my shares ( thus remaining a shareholder) to a shorter and try to ensure that the share price did not run away for a while until I was more sure of the situation. I would also ensure that BBs such as this were monitored to gauge the offer price which would be acceptable to weak holders. Fortunately for us NM is made of sterner stuff and knows the value of the present and future assets.

Very true. But can't fathom why share price wouldn't be at least 45p.
