06/9/2018 18:19 | But tip in IC tmw | jerryspaniel
06/9/2018 18:19 | IC View For BHP, the deal may be opportunistic and a drop in its cash ocean. But it also signals a broader intent, and leaves the ball in Newcrest’s court. For SolGold, we can only see further validation of the Cascabel project, which we think will be snapped up eventually. Speculative buy at 25p. Last IC View: Buy, 22.9p, 22 Feb 2018 | mirabeau
06/9/2018 16:39 | Positive close. Bodes well for tomorrow. Come on BHP. Make a sensible offer for the job lot before someone else does. You know you really want it! | alwaysevolving

06/9/2018 16:19 | $SOLG House broker share price Angel John Meyer interview by IG Index on recent corporate activity $CGP #ecuador Key points; "...Junior miner cannot handle this alone. It's a $3-4B project" "...sees it as a hostile move get gain near-controlling or controlling stake" "...maybe approach SOLG to offer $20-30m to cover next drilling plan or to move on the whole company (edit - intesting he doesn't mention just Cascabel)" "...huge value in rest of portfolio and SOLG team knows how to find this stuff" | pob69
06/9/2018 15:13 | Chris Temple has been following the $SOLG story for many years and here is his take on the recent corporate activity $CGP #ecuador What comes next we can only speculate about; but I think a few potential scenarios seem to already be rising to the top of the renewed, excited chatter over Cascabel. One has BHP and Newcrest locking themselves in a room and agreeing to a framework where both would be involved in a move (it's not that unusual for two major companies to cooperate in the development of a big, Tier One asset.) | pob69

06/9/2018 14:41 | The risk of selling into the rally is that you have (say) a 10% chance of missing the bid. I think I am happier buying the dips than selling the rallies with recent newsflow. | jerryspaniel
06/9/2018 13:41 | Superb Arden Partners Broker extensive 100 page Note on Copper Mining published on 6th September including London based $SOLG $ARS.L $CAML.L $ATYM.L $RMM.L #copper. For Solgold (before BHP news); Buy rating with a target price of 30p at a multiple of 0.9x. SOLG has a P/NAVPS of 0.6x. Upside target price potential of 59p and 131p, when Alpala valued at comparable $/lb value of contained copper for development or operating stage, compared with the exploration stage. | pob69
06/9/2018 13:35 | I take the view that vested interests will do their best to accumulate now that BHP has taken a stake. I dare say no dirty trick will go untried as positions are built. Why sell now when the big hitters seem to be assembling their troops? I'd say NM has an incentive to get good news out sooner than later, to me it feels like a race to do a grab has got under way. | lefrene
06/9/2018 13:33 | In agreement with your points alwaysevolving. I personally don't like the dirty underhand way bhp have acquired a chunk of our company albeit a welcome boost for the share price The market liked it because it saw a quick buck to be made but I also believe that without news of bhp buying a bigger chunk via the front door the people who bought in yesterday will drift away. It's a pity bhp couldn't have bought a chunk on top of Guyana goldfields holdings. | mrpiggy
06/9/2018 13:20 | Pity this spike seen as selling opportunity. We all see things differently. Time will tell. | mam fach
06/9/2018 13:10 | which line is that ? you mean the short term line that goes back only to July ? | brahmsnliszt

06/9/2018 10:38 | SOLG tweeted this coverage by Bloomberg;Https://ww | shakester2
06/9/2018 10:27 | Is there a danger that BHP will buy the stakes of the other main holders, Newcrest, cornerstone, black rock, etc at a similar (low) price? Maybe end up with half the share capital for maybe less than 50p and this force a sale of the rest? | mikalan
06/9/2018 09:24 | I agree Lefrene, it would mark the beginning of the end of SOLG. So the market is probably something below 100p to 2-300p! Quite a spread, and all the while the share price is trading at 25p. Something has to give. If I was a betting man (which I am not!!), I would guess that if it was sold this year, it would go for about 50p and you could probably add 50p per year while the asset continues to grow. But I don't suppose my guess is better than anyone elses, but you have to start somewhere.... | jerryspaniel
06/9/2018 08:46 | jerryspaniel, yes it would and would be unhelpful, my "I would like to know" was just that, I didn't mean that he should go public, although as I said he mentioned 10 to 15 times greater than current price. So one supposes 200p to 300p, either of which I would be happy to sell for, and the buyer would still have good value for a very long term asset. | lefrene
06/9/2018 08:37 | Here's the latest official updated shareholding list from $SOLG $CGP #ecuador after yesterday's activity; | pob69
06/9/2018 08:36 | Exactly what we would expect N M to say. Not in my nature to sell things under value. Very fair comment. Can't fault his strategy. Big miners are positioning themselves. Expecting more developments this week. | mam fach
06/9/2018 08:36 | Not sure why BHP wouldn't just sit there and buy everything offered to them at 25.5p. Would get a bit more and reinforce yesterdays purchase. Lefrene: If NM publicly gave an idea of value, wouldn't that effectively put a for sale sign over the company? | jerryspaniel |
