27/10/2020 14:14 | Announce good news, then slip in the not so good news. That's what they'll do. | ![]() mam fach
27/10/2020 13:52 | Yeah I can just see that helping the share price up...not... Remember drill results do NOT have to be RNSed so I'm sure NM will use best discretion to get the share price up... However, if we DID hear about La Hueca, I confidently expect it would be good news... AIMO as usual... | ![]() rougepierre
27/10/2020 13:35 | randompath. Thanks for that. The missing interview with Nick would have predated any assay results for La Hueca and so I suspect you are correct, the results underwhelmed. However, I believe they have continued to drill. I just think it would be good practice to announce disappointing drill holes as well as the exciting ones. | ![]() lowtrawler
27/10/2020 13:35 | Lest we forget...Rio Rio...sleeping giant... "Technical Services Manager Benn Whistler, commented on the Rio Amarillo Project, saying: "Early work is revealing what we believe could be a "Sleeping Giant" with a big cluster of large and fertile porphyry systems similar to those discovered at the Company's Cascabel Project some 35km to the northeast. The main target areas at Chalanes, Target1, Varela and Palomar hold characteristics typical of other similar systems and clusters of systems along the Andean Copper Belt that have generated some very large globally significant porphyry deposits. With surface mineralisation covering a vertical extent of up to 1500m, we can envisage that exploratory drilling will test an enormous vertical column of 3 to 3.5km."" | ![]() rougepierre
27/10/2020 13:28 | Lowtrawler - I am also unsure why they don't relay some information on la Hueca. In the recent lse live interview that was not subsequently posted online (due to technical issues), NM was asked a direct question about la Hueca and he used the words "exciting" and "mineralised". Given the grandstanding about Porvenir, I'd assume that they assayed La Hueca and the grades were underwhelming, and their policy is to adopt radio silence in this situation. Hopefully not and there'll be an announcement soon. However, no big issue in the scheme of things - Porvenir looks phenomenal. Happy to hold while the drilling results come in there and also in anticipation of Rio. | ![]() randompath
27/10/2020 13:11 | Only 1.7m traded, still very low volume with everyone waiting for the upcoming news. I expect the next news will be Rio drilling commenced. I remain perplexed over the la Hueca silence.Eyes on the big picture. Each of the blockbuster news items have the potential to move the price by 20% or more and there are 3 of these announcements coming up. No point in trading for a few points here and there when there are seismic shifts on the horizon. | ![]() lowtrawler
27/10/2020 13:10 | Last firmly bid for 100,000 at the Quote price of 37.3p... | ![]() rougepierre
27/10/2020 13:08 | It was ironic MK...as they say round here..."she'll do fo me" lechyd da! | ![]() rougepierre
27/10/2020 13:00 | Level 2 update imho The situation is there are very few shares on the sell side , so few infact that i could put it up to 38.60 with probably less the 100k of shares . The buy side have stopped putting the price up as no one is selling . The mms are selling at 37.94 and will give you 37.79 for your shares some .24p Over the AT,s A little shake to try and get some shares me thinks . Hope that makes sense . | ![]() mknight
27/10/2020 12:44 | Not sure mam fach would want the hairs on HER chest . | ![]() mknight
27/10/2020 12:42 | They've done pretty well so far mam fach...and appointed TWO ESG specialists...both women...IMO they are setting a standard for miners worldwide, especially with how they are treating and employing the communities... Meanwhile, here's an idea... Boil a pan of hot water to make a big pot of tea. Enjoy the first one reheat in the microwave the rest one mug at a time... That's what I do every day (but using a kettle for the first brew). Oh and BTW...Yorkshire Tea is best...a nice dark brew that puts hairs on your chest... AIMO as usual... | ![]() rougepierre
27/10/2020 12:37 | Genuinely hoping SOLG will bring prosperity to Ecuador. Also that workers will be treated fairly. | ![]() mam fach
27/10/2020 12:34 | The 'buys' seem to outnumber the 'sells' by 6 to 1, you'd think the price would be moving up a bit more. | ![]() lefrene
27/10/2020 12:32 | A shame, even the German quality engineering product swill likely be 30% more expensive next year. All for the sake of British ego driven hard headedness. Will stop there. Go Solg! | ![]() greenelf
27/10/2020 12:25 | Ta like - didn't know they had an operation in Swansea. Shouldn't encourage the Jacks, should be in Cardiff.Last ot post and will now await news on Solg. | ![]() husbod
27/10/2020 12:17 | Hardly anything is made in Britain. Have to search hard to find an over priced local item. | ![]() greenelf
27/10/2020 12:16 | H'mmm, Amazon have a huge distribution shed in Swansea which oddly enough mostly distributes into the midlands and southern/western England. Welsh workers, welsh hauliers, all fed through a series of companies so that almost no tax liabilities arise in the UK. I boycott them on principle, plus knowing how they treat their workforce. | ![]() lefrene
27/10/2020 12:05 | Get one from Amazon. Why support a British company with a Welsh workforce when you can donate instead to a mega American company based in England. Such is the effect of our Great Leaders economic illiteracy. For further information go to www.screwcymru@drakg | ![]() husbod
27/10/2020 11:45 | Wish I could say happy memories. But SOLG might make me some money very very soon. NM is holding all the cards. | ![]() mam fach
27/10/2020 11:34 | Level 2 update Very strong again i would expect between 38.5 to 39p close Maybe more .. If you want quantity they dont exist. | ![]() mknight
27/10/2020 11:31 | Light some candles, put the lights out and pretend it's the 3 day week. Honestly, they don't build them like they used to... | goodgrief
27/10/2020 11:27 | It is not "hysterical speculation" As a holder of any stock, it is necessary to assess all possible outcomes. Working on probability, major projects get acquired by majors and this is not just a single project but a whole new country destination. Money talks and this might get quite brutal in the battle for control, but the prize is worth the fight. Given his performance to date, I would rate NM's chances of getting a decent exit price as quite high, but the probability of retaining control of the Ecuador portfolio is close to zero. | ![]() charlieeee
27/10/2020 11:25 | Have you tried boiled water from micro in a cuppa. Disgusting. Those were the days when you had a coal fire. Dare I say before days of Scargill/Thatcher -marriage made in hell. | ![]() mam fach
27/10/2020 11:14 | DD post 26619. That has it spot on! Yes, professionals come in all shapes and sizes and competence,in my working life I came across several so called professionals, non of whom were able to tell me anything I didn`t already know or could n`t figure out for myself with a bit of research and common sense. Mining financiers bankers and institutional shareholders will decide the future of Solgold and not PI`s or posters on BBs such as this. NM has said many times it is his intention to keep Solgold independent, he also has said institutional financiers are queuing up to finance Alpala. What will they be doing if Porvenir and Rio turn out to be as big as or even better than Alpala, fingers crossed!! Hysterical speculation regarding takeovers by majors or financing problems are just that, hysteria. NM has also frequently intimated that he will do whatever he can to avoid shareholder dilution, with companies such as Franco Nevada and other mining finance institutions waiting in the wings he should have no problem doing just that. NM is also above all else a realist and admits that any ridiculously high offer for Solgold would be very difficult to defend, what constitutes a ridiculously high offer is anyone's guess, I surmise it would be a multiple several times the current share price. | ![]() tibszol1
27/10/2020 11:13 | What should never be underestimated, is that the share price is disproportionately affected by trading and that is largely done by PIs (many of whom do post on ADVFN and LSE). By definition, investors do not sell and are therefore not part of the market. If the Institutions do decide to invest, it is mostly by way of a placing, otherwise they chase the market up. As we all know, it is miserable when one of the big holders do sell on market: much better when they find a home for their stake (such as the % BHP acquired on bulk... but that was an obvious deal given Solg's rejection of the BHP offer and we don't know which party made the approach). | ![]() charlieeee |
