Also surely BHP know if they make an over inflated offer for Cornerstone, it will just make the SOLG shares more expensive.

Mknight,

If Newcrest or BHP pay an inflated price for Cornerstone that still will not give them control of SOLG and SOLG share price is sure to rise further due to the read across from the inflated Cornerstone offer.

If you're a Cornerstone share holder why not benefit twice by accepting SOLG offer then wait for an offer from BHP etc for the whole if SOLG or it to be developed further.

Nothing really on the sell side until 85k at 42.95 .. becoming somewhat short of shares unless there are hidden sellers which i doubt but you never know 100%

Sorry mistake the 85k is at 43.25 so even less

Yes they can refuse it , maybe Newcrest or Bhp or another would like to pay more. And no imho Solgold should not leave it open .

I remember that day, I made the most in a day I have ever made, think it was about £50k. Not bad, but then I lost it all on MNC, hanging onto the MNC dream of them making their copper find a big deal (:

There was a prediction we would get to 40p this week.
Hold on Solgers. Next week might even be better.

55k 41.35 v 20k 41.70

Now

12.5k at 41.45 v 22k at 41.75
3k at 41.85

Now 12k at 41.50

Changing quickly ..

10k just went through at 41.905

Betwéen 41.90 and 42.25 there is a bit of volume which might interest a large buyer rather than small amounts .

charkie - that's typical for the sort of tiny cap stock that Solg was in those days. You'd never have been able to deal in any quantity, and tiny quantities would have moved the shares big time. Its why long term charts where dilution has taken place are useless.

Sidarthur, the historical charts do not record the intra day highs: you would need to see all trades for the day.

It was such an extraordinary day that none of us investing at that time will ever forget that 80p high, as the Sp rocketed and then collapsed like a souffle back to somewhere in the 50's.

Buying has significantly exceeded selling for days now and in much higher volumes than are traditionally traded. The MMs must be short of stock. Something is going to have to give.
