Hannam & Partners new note SOLG $SOLG $SOLG.L #porvenir #cascabel #ecuador $CGP

Our target price per share has increased by ~17% to 128p, ~270% above the current share price. Our outlook remains positive on SOLG shares

Upgrading valuation on higher price assumptions; promising start at Porvenir

128p, is that all:))

Sitting on the worlds largest copper-gold find in the last decade, with more finds to come, ha ha.

When the price goes up it is easy to see who is holding and who is not .

Why would anyone knock their holdings .

This week i believe come Friday we will be over 40p thanks to Porvenir .

The week after next we have Cornerstone confirmation yes or no .. BHP free todo what they must do . Next week we might get drilling news from La Hueca and even confirmation that Río Amarillo has started drilling . The week after next we might get the PFS .

Plenty of news on a short space of time . I for one wont be selling .Any pull backs imho will very short lived . Level 2 will no doubt tell us around 3 p.m. if news is coming the next day .

Tomorrow morning i am out so will not be able to update on level 2 in the morning but rest assured i will be online around 2 p.m..

Exciting times at long last .

Goodluck to all that hold

Just to add NM will want the price up before the 14th when Cornestone make their minds up take the offer or turn it down so i for one think we will see something this coming week .

Despite the current small frisson what unites us is greed and this is stronger than what divides us.

There was me thinking all the good news would make people nice to each other. Personally, I think I have now done more than enough speculating on what may or may not transpire. Suffice to say, if 40p was cheap before, 60p is cheap now. There will be a few ups and downs but I'm going to ignore the daily and weekly movements unless caused by a news event.

No hype or hot air here. NM delivered exactly what he promises.
Some of us agree and see the amazing potential.
Will be top of gainer board soon.
Do feel markets reaction is muted.
Need Cornerstone issue resolved.
Hold on to your hats and your shares.
What will Monday bring? Is it too late to buy in?
I don't know the answer. GLA Solgers.

DD, you state your opinion about the "market" as though it is a fact. Tesla and many others like it that are built on hype and hope suggest you "might, may" be mistaken!

mk, Porvenir does not have to be larger than Alpala to be more valuable. If Porvenir turns out to be a near surface deposit, with higher grades, the time and cost to get it into production will be far less than Alpala, operating costs will be lower, output pa higher, and so the NPV could be much higher.

Agree with mnv1 that Nick and team intend to throw everything at it. Ladies and gents, place your bets - just hope they are right!

DD of course it is may because they have not finished the first hole yet but as mwv1 says throwing 6 drills at it seems to me that they expect some stunning results . Of course they could be wrong are you selling up ? No i didnt think so .

Did you add after the news ? Probably ..

Will you be buying more while is still only 35p ? Probably .

You are Conservative and will have worked out the value for Alpala alone ..is 35p expensive .. no

Have to I really impressed by how quickly Nick and the team have increased the focus on Porvenir. After only 3 weeks of drilling, with no assay results they have gone from a 1 rig exploration costing $5m to and 6 rig exploration costing $30m+ with the aim of getting to a first mineral resource estimate as soon as possible. Benn Whistler quote ‘The work program will comprise multiple parallel work streams, employing the exploration blueprint used at Alpala and well as pre-emptively launching first stage geotechnical and metallurgical data capture programs’.

I can’t imagine that if this was being drilled by BHP that a decision by the board to multiply the budget by a factor of six would have been taken based on some nice pictures of drill cores.

The other end of the scale is how Solgold started at Alpala, drill 5 when they discovered the deposit was released 14/1/14 when SOLG had 600m shares in issue. By 29/6/17 (3.5 years later) they still only had 4 drills in operation. It took till 3/1/18 (4 years) to get out MRE1 and by this point they had 1.7b shares issued. As a small firm funding takes forever and costs in terms of dilution. Even so I think Solgold did really well to limit dilution as they have – many other firms have found that by the time the resource is proved up the original shareholders own barely any of the resource.

This time with Porvenir they have just raised $40m for exploration, they have already said the drill fleet will go up to 6 rigs (by start of 2021?) and will be working towards an MRE1 from day 1. If they focus on a small area round the initial discovery and as the mineralisation starts from surface, and they use all the learning from Alpala they could have MRE1 out the door before the end of 2021 (less than 15 months). They could also achieve this without any dilution!

At the same time they will issue of PFS and DFS and finance their other tier one discovery!

I have to say that the pace with which they have moved to get 6 rigs on the way to Porvenir is like a huge beacon saying to the world look what we have found. That’s fine because 6 years ago they did what a BHP would be doing now – land grabbing around Porvenir. But they did it in a huge way – they took out 72 concessions over the whole of Ecuador. What can I say but thanks to Nick and the team.

Not sure the majors can wait much longer to bid for Solgold . The way things are going there is every chance that Apala .porvenir and Río Amarillo could be Tier 1 .plus how many more of the 72 sites ..

The game has changed here even Cornerstone deal looks odds on now to go through.

Interesting month ahead .

Lowtrawler has a good idea of what Alpala is worth but like most of us at the moment cannot get out his head around the fact that Porvenir maybe up to 12 times the size which would make it the largestcopper and gold mine ever .
Seems the market cannot get its head around that maybe there could be 276 millon oz of gold . If this is true the valuation of Solgold could be 300 a share . So a multi bagger from here .

Lowtrawler, you are not a geologist, I don't think you understand just how good those grades are at Alpala.
