Market report Irish Times:

"...With considerably less volume traded on the day, Smurfit Kappa was the biggest percentage gainer on the Iseq 20. One of the company’s peers announced price increases while strong container board demand in Mexico, a significant market, sent the stock up by 1.52 per cent to close at €27.31."

6 weeks today are the H1 results. I suspect there will be buying ahead of those results as the industry announcements of paper increases keep happening.

I would expect the share to be around 25.5 to 26 at that time.

There is very good value to be had here, and that is confirmed when you see the big boys come in for large tranches like that.

The kraftliner increase announced on Friday and the testliner lincrease from last night are not priced into the shareprice and the broker valuations.

I would expect to see broker updates this week now, raising the earnings potential for 2018 and 2019 not 2017. This should add £2 or so onto the price target and will life the share price to the 24-25 range .
