Moorsie, having partly grown up in the ROI, Michael's name is ingrained
on my brain as he was in the news a lot.

There was a 12M sterling sale of 500k shares yesterday. It looks like this was the market moving reason on Friday and Monday.

No reason why this is not at 23 stg and I expect to get there in the coming days and week or two max

smicker, 17% in 3 days!, in fairness most people would have grabbed that.
Particularly given the uncertainty at the time.

red, my Dad holds some of the ROI listed shares, he mentioned to me previously
they looked value, however for whatever reason I did not look at SKG
back then.

Better day ).

20/20 hindsight is a wonderful thing. We could all be millionaires looking back at the opportunities that we have missed.

Some may not be aware, you could have picked up some SKG on the Dublin
exchange for very little just a few years ago.

The EURO price was around 5/6 from memory in 2012.

From Wikipedia

In early January 2009, The Wall Street Journal announced that Smurfit-Stone had hired lawyers to plan for a potential bankruptcy filing – which caused an 83% collapse of Smurfit-Stone's stock price.[4][5] On January 27, 2009, Smurfit-Stone filed petitions for reorganization under Chapter 11 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, Delaware.[6][7]

The company's CEO claims Smurfit-Stone was forced to file bankruptcy because of higher operations costs, burdensome debt levels from prior corporate mergers, and weakened demand for packaging caused by a global economic recession.[7] Pending court approval, the company hoped to obtain debtor-in-possession (DIP) financing to continue ongoing business operations, payment of employee wages and benefits, and payment of existing vendor obligations.[7]

Hi red, around this time next month for some downside would expect,
having said that today's market bounce looks a tad insipid, may change
if the US powers ahead later.

Europe is by far SKG's largest market, it's the best part of 3x
the size of The Americas in EBITDA terms.
Hopefully large potential in the US market to drive future growth.

'Trump $ trade over now by the look of it.'

Wouldn't argue with that, could well hasten corporate action across a variety of sectors....

Yes lovely afternoon, coming in to my favourite time of year.
July/August a bit hot for me.

Energy is one SKG's top 3 input costs, so this crude fall may be supportive.

GBP is looking oversold regardless of Trump imv,
some of the extreme caution looks misplaced.
Increased my domestic UK exposure towards the end of last week.
