Several cases recently where I have bought, only for the stock to plunge
and then recover very nicely.

Hansteen(HSTN) which I built up to my largest position dropped about 4%,
it's ended up being my biggest gainer for 5 years.

With SKG, very worst ways, say the market plunged, long term just collect
the dividends and the Company will grow over the longer term through the cycle.

It's why I tend to stay away from technology, as want to be as sure as possible
that a stock has a good chance of being more profitable in 5/6 years time.

You can miss out on some incredible gains though,
phil is a testament to incredible gains with his BT trade back in the day,
moorsie also mentioned FDP recently which has has rocketed and then rocketed again.

SKG and SMDS pretty well step for step over the last four weeks. Nothing SKG specific by the look of it.

Both bouncing with the market now

Nope red, would be very surprised if that is the case fwiw,
timing an exact buy point is very difficult.

Unless there is news I am not factoring in.

Would be surprised if so phil, they stress the exec leaving is pursuing
an opportunity outside the sector and the new appointment is a very long
standing employee.

Added at '87, may regret this.

Evening phil, only a guess. Had a scan of the annual report, lots that looks impressive,

Hi phil, looks like a bit of profit taking to me, got some at 21.02,
just missed another few under 21. Only adding in small amounts.

Added a few at 21.08.

SKG has been given to recent rapid late dat sell offs, so watching
in case there may be an opportunity.

What you are also seeing perhaps is some understandable profit taking.
The Dublin listed SKG share price has trebled over the last 4/5 years,
and the main LSE share price is also well ahead since early November.

There were also two OT trades at 9:52am this morning, both sells, which would explain the drop at that time.

61,298 @ 2159.6611p
50,000 @ 2160.1599p

And another sell this pm 31,824@ 2148.1465p

Hopefully all into stronger hands now. We'll have to wait until next week to see if the seller's finished.
