21/7/2000 08:54 | Not convinced that seller is out of the way yet - five 25000 sells gone through this morning almost everything else buys, but those sells must be holding the price back.V | vertigo
21/7/2000 08:09 | Should be, the directors buying alone should give it a couple of days of frenzy. | brockman
21/7/2000 08:02 | also mentioned as a buy in Investors week with comments in todays Times, Independent and Guardian looking good for 150 imho | mdavey
21/7/2000 07:57 | article in todays daily mail saying finance director Colin Gibson said last week that the co would stay independent despite tenntative takeover approaches the market thinks trere could be one howevever as price is now up to 140-142 I am sitting tight M | mdavey
21/7/2000 00:54 | Vertigo glad you joined the party - now 134-136 I am looking forward to the weekend and then Monday! M | mdavey

20/7/2000 15:35 | some more info - from Sharecast Skillsgroup target of possible take over by NTL. 3rd day in a row of heavy dealing. Mystery buyer is busy mopping up stock in the market. Rumours that a bidder is palnning to raid the market for more shares up to 150p to build platform for a formal bid. it is believed that US investment bank Morgan Stanley is involved in the share purchases, some of them handled through broker West Panmure. turnover now at 7.8 million and price at 137-140 | mdavey
20/7/2000 11:34 | back to 133-134 time to buy agaain I think | mdavey
20/7/2000 11:24 | Who us!!! We are, sort of, perhaps not with your depth of perception. What a call, many thanks. Brockman | brockman
20/7/2000 11:13 | now 139-140 come on board wake up!!!! | mdavey
20/7/2000 10:48 | now 4.8million and 130-132 | mdavey
20/7/2000 10:46 | my broker tells me that there is a large seller in the market but that when he is out of the way this stock should begin to motor. MMs are pretty positive on the stock watch sign- when stock hits 132-135 I would expect this to reach 150 quickly turnover now over 3 million this am. so am hopeful that seller is pretty much out of the way | mdavey
20/7/2000 10:25 | The recent Dir Buys must have given some ground for optimism amongst us ordinary punters. What's interested me are the level of T and X trades - many well below current prices. Any suggestions as to why?? | trader2
20/7/2000 09:58 | another 2 million traded this morning already - whats going on? | mdavey
20/7/2000 06:01 | This has a very ugly chart, the confirmed support at 126.5p is crucial for this to remain above a pound, since there is little other support apart from a little noise at the 120p level. Through 126.5p and it's a teddy bears picnic. Now where's my Paddington outfit =8-)) Cheers WR | wildrover
20/7/2000 01:40 | not recommend. | new8
20/7/2000 00:56 | turnover now at 6.59million today = 7.46% of shares in issue or 10.4% of free float | mdavey
20/7/2000 00:49 | some very interesting trades in the last 24hrs 1 million crossed yesterday at 120 followed by 475000 and 1.9 million crossed this morning.Nosey buying over the past 2 days at 132-135 . If the big seller is out of the way this could move higher very quickly imho dyor I am in at 127 this am - what do others think?? comments appreciated. | mdavey
19/7/2000 13:58 | mdavey - thanks, and a belated welcome, I know the feeling, you may still get bbburns but they shouldn't be so bad if you go on a course - see training above, mine are only 1st degree these days! regards,A. | aquila
19/7/2000 13:16 | Aquila sorry not me - just someone who has been a member of this board for the past few months . only posted once before - got badly burned with action computer supplies. very impressed with the quality of posts and looking to make some money(aren't we all!!!) regards M. | mdavey
13/7/2000 08:35 | If you can figure how they arrived at the headline "Operating profits for core continuing businesses up 26% to #5.9m (1999: #4.7m)" in today's Interims - you are doing better than me. Profits for the continuing businesses may well be up but I can't find a way to arrive at a figure of 5.9m. Note a good deal of buys first thing. | trader2
28/6/2000 14:57 | I work for them on a contract basis and they can't seem to get enough of my time at the moment. Having to turn work down to maintain my sanity. So I definitely don't think they are having any difficulty getting business in!!!Also looking for sign of strength again and expect to see the move back up sometime. However as primarily a technical training business with consultancy (also technical) I would expect to have to wait until the tech market as a whole see a significant upturn.Vertigo[shr] | vertigo |
