20/9/2023 18:00 | Last year the Trading Update was on Thursday 22 Sept. Over the next 3 trading days my holding was up £1,350. With net debt reducing every half year, providing no negative news this share will surely re rate. | coyy
16/9/2023 17:21 | I don't know for sure but don't see any reason why they wouldn't. I'd certainly like to see one. | norbert colon

10/9/2023 12:15 | I think you are confusing Smiths News with WH Smith. Used to be the same company but demerged years ago. | elgar20
10/9/2023 11:44 | Total forecast div5.9p using one quarter of 2023 and the previous three quarters of 2022 and a share price of 44.4p gives a yield of 13.28%. Using another sites div figures I get 9.35p Can this be true or am I up the creek? Polite answers on a postcard please as if it is I will be buying tomorrow. From this weeks Shares mag Many people view it as one of the last men standing on the tired UK high street, but what they miss is how these shops are cash cows. They provide a solid backbone to the business, allowing the company to be quite aggressive with its expansion plans in the travel arm which includes shops in airports and train stations. The latest results were solid, and management was upbeat about the future. It is doing well in the UK, US and Australia and there is good reason to suggest its overseas fortunes could be even better as the travel market continues to reopen. While the shares have been moving higher in recent weeks, they are still down 13% year-to-date. That presents investors with a great opportunity to buy a decent business at an undemanding rating. The shares trade on 16.5 times forecast earnings for the year to August 2023 Disruption to its travel arm during the pandemic means the past few years’ profits and returns on investment look unattractive. It’s better to look back pre-Covid to see how WH Smith generated returns on capital employed above 50%. Put simply, the money invested in expanding its business has generated very strong returns. | cestnous
01/9/2023 16:50 | Trident5. You don’t know whether day or night - extremely sad that you come to this after losing a fortune - have a good weekend and get over this , don’t have nightmare for your own health sake | stevensupertrader

01/9/2023 10:07 | SNWS Year End 31/8/23. - Today , share price has dropped 5% | stevensupertrader
17/8/2023 09:46 | Spot on, this share is bombed out due to historical events that no longer have any relevance. Its too early for the new trends to be apparent from the data but when they do this is going to be significantly higher, Double bagger for a start | makinbuks
16/8/2023 22:49 | Ok - what are we going to do? -------------------- Believe in your investment, buy at levels like these. It is the bots, stop losses that are moving the price down. If that worries anyone, shares are not for them at all. Research, reading and balls when knicker-wetters sell.......should make you money. So I would keep adding SNWS if I could, but lack of funds for 3 weeks :( | santangello
16/8/2023 18:04 | Why not record it as a BUY RATHER THAN sell , you can see therefore if this was what you said , over 200k shares recorded as Sell 😞 | stevensupertrader
16/8/2023 16:28 | Stevensupertrader. That’s not manipulation. If you can buy nearer to the quoted sell price than the quoted buy price the computers will record it as a sell. The same applies in reverse when we sell. | kenmitch
16/8/2023 16:23 | Ok - what are we going to do? | trident5
16/8/2023 15:46 | Buy recorded as Sell in the trading board record - manipulation - the few 10000 shares trade was me BUYING BUT RECORDED AS SELL. | stevensupertrader
16/8/2023 14:56 | SP will fall back under 44p | stevensupertrader
10/8/2023 13:01 | I'm going to stick my neck out and predict a lot of small " buys" over the next week Don't slate me if I'm wrong :) | hotdawg
10/8/2023 11:08 | Certainly some strange price action of late that has nothing to do with company fundamentals | makinbuks
09/8/2023 22:48 | Damn, was going to top up big at sub 40 for sure. Decent rise into the close | privileged |
