I think there was a seller and the share may be recovering after the seller finished. But who knows for sure?

Keep the faith. This is an absolute bargain at current levels given the current divi yield. Incredible value hiding in plain sight.

Ask the CEO - why share price fell over 20% after H1 result?

I don't think interest rates will fall anytime soon. SNWS have flagged good progress already so worth adding imo if a seller is unloading.

You can ignore trading data on small cap stocks like these. I have the same experience as yourself many times over davidosh.

Forced selling can be a thing, I suppose, or someone who bought at 30p looking at other opportunioties. Who knows? It is looking like it might just be a small- to medium-sized holder exiting...

For the record I picked up 50k at well below the mid price so it showed as a sale. I suspect there is a fair bit of buying and clearly a large seller feeding it.
I am happy picking up the 10% yield which has the potential to increase as we all know.

Once markets return to normal and investors return to desks in September this should go back to 55p - 60p territory. Interest rates will probably start falling in the Autumn and yields on equities will be attractive again.

Are there any Women's World Cup stickers for extra revenues on delivery. Come on England

Just nibbled at this. My second bite in eight months. It’s a melting ice cube and I’m not convinced I’ll hold for the blue sky scenario but with locked-in revenues, a clean balance sheet and a 10% yield well covered by FCF I think the downside is well protected here.

Probably because of that 256,066 sale at 41p.

Tasty price though. Added a few k.

My buy is showing as a sell on the trades list, buying is currently around 41.6 or 41.7 which is below the mid price displayed.

Still going down. No great volume but a few chunky sells taking it down, coupled with bots working the sell side. Disappointing, but in today’s market everything looks cheap. A drop to 40p looks nailed on from a quick glance at the charts. Hopefully a 10% yield will hold further falls, but even so, there are many quality stocks out there with 9-10% yields. The market is a total mess.

Agreed, keep it simple. Repay the remaining debt, remove the banking covenant on dividends, double the dividend (or a mixture of dividends and buy backs) and £1 should be achievable. Of course there will be macro headwinds too so we may need to wait for sunnier times for the market in general for the potential to be recognised by the market

It would be like old times again if we move toward £1.

I held for many year, enjoying a great income. Then the wheels were hacked off and I sold, giving up much of my total return. Bought back in with trepidation (average under 30, happily under my sell out at 36), and have since seen a quarter of that repurchase cost back in dividends. So I was pretty lucky.

Long may sanity prevail. No more bright cunning plans please Smiths, just stick to the knitting and pay ut the profits to the shareholders!

Yes relieved to be heading back to 50p rather than down to 40p. Although I remained confident of my long term view, averaging down always causes doubt in your mind. My thesis is that this will go to something in excess of £1 and ideally I will add at higher prices as the roadmap points towards that are realised. The FY23 results will indeed be one such step

Good read across here from Reach update today:

How can you said Menzies was less valuable than SNWS? Menzies 2022 Result Revenue was £1.35B and profit before tax was £30m
Whereas SNWS revenue was just over £1B and profit before tax was £20m
- clearly Menzies worths more than SNWS

The MMC? I don't think they will be doing much now! :))

In 1999 the Monopolies and Mergers Commission was succeeded by the Competition Commission, an independent public body established by the Competition Act 1998. It replaced the Monopolies and Mergers Commission on 1 April 1999.
