Same with lots of other stocks. Nervous PIs bailing due to the state of the market and the economy.

Do many funds tracking the small cap actually buy the shares? It is not like tracking the 100 or even the 250. There are a hell of a lot of small cap companies, so dealing charges would be significant for a tracker actually holding them. I assume that most small cap trackers are synthetic, but don't actually know.

This company is a great rarity. It is very unusual that one holds shares in a 'steady Eddy' dividend paying company for years, sells out when it changes its spots and nearly go under, and then gets back in cheap and enjoys a good uplift in the share price and a return to large dividends as it goes back to the original plain vanilla business model. If only it had stuck to the knitting throughout !!

Numis touting SNWS to rejoin FTSE Small Cap on 30 June. Index trackers will need to start buying in next week or so.

Are they able to do share buybacks on the terms they have with the bank?

Agreed, its not just the yield but also the revenue visibility so far into the future that should give income seekers confidence and justify a re-rate. Moving in the opposite direction at the moment

Fifty per cent pay out would suggest 5.5p div in 2024 year (assuming sensible refi). Recent 8% yield would still attract punters at 70P?

Cheers for the clarification NC, but excellent results all the same.

Average Bank Net Debt GBP26.3m down 55.3%
This time next year it should be cash positive, expecting the divi and the share price to double.

Lovely stuff, just how I like my larger holdings....trouble free, progressing and paying me a fat income :)

It is a steady cash cow. The debt level is decreasing nicely and it should be able to pay an even larger dividend when the current banking facilities mature in August 2025 and new ones are negotiated.

Circa 12%+ yield for those that managed to get a nice average price in the low 30's :)

The thesis at SNWS has always been turnaround rather than growth and now the turnaround is fully in place the thesis is stable portfolio income for me.

This is very cheap by any measure IMO.

Plus ... £10m in divis equates to 4.03p - so 7.6% at 53p

Decent set of interim numbers. All seems well. My only concern is for future growth. Other than that it is a very solid business with good visibility on revenues and a anagement in firm control. Oh, and a very nice yield.

Hi fft - I've got a bad memory and can't recall - would need to check. Nailed on certainty that it will happen however.

NC, can you remember the criteria for lifting the payout ? Was it the average net debt over the month (given the 20m intra monthly swings), or that the net debt had to be zero at the worst point of the month ? Obviously they could just try and renegotiate, and by the end of 2023 I could see restrictions being raised.

Won't be a big divi increase until the GBP 10m cap is lifted when they renegotiate their facilities at some point. That said, there is a very clear likelihood of a big divi increase after that and hopefully at least one special divi.
