Looks positive to me. I sold out a few years ago now but definitely one I’m looking to buy once markets stabilise.

Any reason why the share price has fallen? I thought the trading update sounded ok

Interesting statement in FCRM results - Smart meter accreditations gained and first installation contract secured for 90,000 smart meters, forecast to generate revenues of £12.0 million over a three year period - I calculate their financial planning 45,000 = £2M pa

SMS 50,000 installs = £1M pa lifetime recurring revenue.

I think FCRM maybe over estimating their future profitability.

When the smart meter programme is complete it’s possible that SMS could be generating free cash flow approaching £100m per annum with increasing appeal as the owner and manager of important data.…..now that’s worth paying a premium for!

We've taken an in depth look hxxps://www.investorschampion.com/channel/company-research/is-smart-metering-systems-a-smart-investment

---------------------

At 50,000 installs per month (max) Order book of 2M (3yrs) and Pipeline of 4M (6Yrs) a total of 9 years of installation giving and additional £120M of Recurring Revenue. It's going to take some time to get there.

361 / Review at 330 / Stop at 315 / Target 1 - 450

Under careful monitoring

Lots of "expects to see" / "signs of expected recovery emerging"

I think they'll need to start seeing a major pick up to hit expectations.

With a 50,000 install capacity = £1m lifetime recurring revenue. FY revenue growth is quite predictable.

Wild cards - Op Cashflow good / Sale of assets

Joined the party today with a tight stop loss. I think the reaction has been over done. Missed the 20% recovery from the low but still a great entry point

Is there any reason why this share keeps falling 3% a day?

I think it is probably a few shorts playing around with it.

At some stage I think it will become a buy but just going to watch a bit longer yet.

it is very odd that the market is puking over SMS shares.. installation progress in line with guidance, negative earnings largely non-cash with core EBITDA growing, a 17% drop is unjustified. And as rock star mentioned, monetising part of the assets upfront boosts returns, if anything the share price should have gone up.it is very odd that the market is puking over SMS shares.. installation progress in line with guidance, negative earnings largely non-cash with core EBITDA growing, a 17% drop is unjustified. Great idea to sell part of their assets to show the value of their business.

Yea, I guess it's because they're isn't anything different from the last one. 50 mil in cash plus an enormous drawdown bank facility for expansion seems to be pretty position to be in. New contracts coming in with major players in the industry. Lots to be optimistic about. I work in the industry and see their name getting mentioned more and more and am happy to hold on for a while yet
