10/9/2018 22:11 | 18/09/2018 Interim Results for the six months ended 30 June 2018. | cheshire pete

01/9/2018 13:29 | Short tracker shows no evidence of any meaningful shorts.
https://www.shorttracker.co.uk/
Countless what do you base your assertion on? Looking at the candle formation on the last 2 days there is some evidence it may go upwards for a short period. The interims are usually declared in early September and that result will have a huge effect on the direction. Any clues anyone? | gomore

31/8/2018 21:27 | I have had dual fuel smart meters with EON for a long time now with no
problems at all, and have no intention of ever changing supplier, life’s
too short.Esp if a politician tells me it’s what I should do.
Get all the info I need from my older solar panel read out in colour.
Just had a payment of over £200 for the last three sunny months, and
although am underpaid for what I put onto the grid, am saving much so happy.
Of course, was one of the last lucky ones to get solar panels and 20 year
Payment contract before the Government slashed subsidies 2015/16.
Have seen my 3.2 kw system give out 3.6 for a short period in the middle
of a summer day if the sky is clear. Probably won’t be around when electric
cars are everywhere, you can’t have everything but who knows. | tugwil

27/7/2018 08:58 | The issue about not being able to move supplier is a valid one. I had smart meters installed by one supplier. I then switched to British Gas to get a better deal. The meter is not compatible with them so now I have to take meter readings from my smart meter (!) or get British Gas compatible smart meters installed. This would certainly put people off and I am now annoyed I got them fitted in the first place. If you plan to switch regularly (the main way to save money) then smart meters are not an option until they are generic. | growthinvestor2001
23/7/2018 10:53 | I just had my own smart meter fitted on Friday. Loving it and already spotting where £ can be saved. The guy who fitted it said one thing that put people off was concerns about being able to move supplier. However I understand this is nor really an obstacle at all. Also why don't we have smart Water meters. I'm sure great savings could be made there. | croquetman

23/7/2018 09:09 | 'Reason for the drop weekend bad publicityPlagued by delays' Benefits of smart meter rollout risk being SLASHED by repeated issuesA PARLIAMENTARY report has warned that the roll-out of smart meters across the UK risks being seriously delayed and may fail to deliver the cost benefits the project had previously promised. The British Infrastructure Group of Parliamentarians (BIG) warned that the £11 billion project to distribute 53 million smart meters to 30 million homes and businesses by 2020 had been "plagued by repeated delays and cost increases".Grant Shapps, Conservative MP and the BIG chairman, said: "Although the entire programme has been funded by customers through higher energy bills, unlike energy suppliers themselves, they are not presently guaranteed to see the majority of the savings that do materialise."This report calls on the UK Government to immediately review the progress of roll-out, and intervene to tackle its points of failure and risk."The BIG report warned that benefits of the programme were "likely to be slashed even further" and the roll-out plans were "almost certain" to miss the 2020 deadline. | davidbirkett

02/7/2018 22:32 | Yes countless, and could there also be scope for households with solar panels using the power created to charge their electric cars and still sell surplus back to the grid, all measured by smart meters? | cheshire pete
30/6/2018 13:16 | This is a fascinating concept that will give the big expensive electricity producers a run for their money hxxp://brooklynmicrogrid.com.
Nothing like disrupting an expensive market, which could create a new non-centralised market for anyone who can produce electricity from solar panels/ farms etc . I can see metres playing a central role when selling electricity back to the grid or in years to come perhaps to the village up the road! | countless

19/4/2018 10:53 | Thx. The £150m raise last year reduced net debt and allowed for a big increase in capital expenditure. Energy suppliers need to get their skates on to install smart meters by the 2020 deadline. Panmure has 1060p target. | aishah
