So after yesterdays hammer candle, signalling the end of the downturn, it did what is supposed to usually happen and price went up nicely today, however....
have a look at the end of today's trades. All the large trades were after close at 16.30.
What is going on and also I find it pretty strange that the largest amount of trades intraday are for very small amounts. Strange?

Does anyone have some enlightening answers?

The selling on low volume is the one thing stopping me from selling as it could be MM manipulation to get cheap stock. Scsw due out 1 July so will. E interesting to get their view. Scsw hold these in the growth portfolio

I don't understand the drop either. I felt I did well to buy in around 500 and topped up again at this level but guess not.

does look oversold though and no huge volumes. IMHO.

Broker target prices:

Macquarie - 1,068p

Panmure Gordon - 868p

Peel Hunt - 740p

I am mystified as to yesterday large drop. I cannot find any info/news as to why it happened and on such a small volume.

There is/are and existing short/s of 1.2% but those have been in place since March/April

Does anyone here know any more?

Not sure but the price weakness is a bit concerning? My finger is hovering over the stop loss sell button!

SMS is not so smart: I know of problems not only regarding signal, apartment blocks, other signals interfering etc., and also of:

Messing up those with solar panels who supply to the grid. The smart meters don't know how to deal with negative power, so simply stop the registration of what is being sold/supplied to the grid. The supplier with that contract then has to estimate what they will pay, pending remedial work.

Changing supplier. Change your supplier for a better contract, and your smart meter won't change with you. So you either have to have a new meter installed, or just not change.

I'll wait a while until some of these problems have been ironed out. Looking at SMS, it's got a way to fall back yet, so no hurry to buy in right now: I'll just watch it drop back for a time.

If you're already in and showing a profit, 'twould be good methinks, to take that profit now, and watch with me whilst the price falls back: then buy in again on the next northward bound trend, when it starts moving that way again in a while's time.

Wouldn't be surprised if they ditch these for IDP

Yes, one of only two (of thirteen) in the red, the other being EMIS. Their portfolio is currently up about 69% from Jan 2015.

@AISHAH: '
Thick walls, blocks of flats and poor mobile signals can all cause problems' - you might want to look at CYAN. Their 'not spot' technology cuts through walls using different frequencies for the smart meters. :-)

TechMarketView:

Smart homes vs smart meters

As the inane TV marketing campaign run by Smart Energy GB extolls us to badger our gas and electricity suppliers to install smart meters in our homes (and see Smart Meter Madness: 5m down, 43m to go), I note today’s trading update from UK energy supplier Centrica, which reports that to date, it has installed over 600k ‘connected hubs’ and over 900k ‘connected products’ in our homes. Its lead product in this genre is the Hive ‘smart thermostat’ which of course competes head to head with Google’s Nest.

Smart Energy GB’s pitch is that with a smart meter you can see how much you are spending on gas and electricity. Centrica’s and Google’s pitch is that with their products – which do NOT need you to have a smart meter – you can actually do something about it!

Smart Energy GB was set up by the Government and is funded by energy companies – in other words, we are all paying for these ads through our gas and electricity bills. At the time, Smart Energy GB’s marketing plan was budgeted at £85m. I suspect as we get closer and closer to the 2020 deadline for us all to have smart meters in our homes, much, much more will be spent on marketing this impossible dream.

That explains it. Do Times tips usually stick or is it all hot money like Daily Mail tips?
