ps...I couldn't help but notice that the Accounts for year ending Dec 2021...were not issued until 12 May 2023. This was to incorporate the Angola connection.

'12 May 2023 Group of companies' accounts made up to 31 December 2021'

With the current accounts being the second longest issued date on record implies that something's 'in the wind' that they're waiting to get out.

That would explain the late-Oct supplementary security assets, pledged by the Incoming Group wrt the Petropolymer $20m charge. Also the Omega deck-clearance at roughly the same time. The virtual 1-year non-existent JPJ share trading adds further weight to the idea of Newco arriving on the scene. BOD total news blackout silence also a requirement, along with insider Sherl0ck prevented from spilling the beans on bb. Cosmos and Angola would appear to be nailed on if this view is taken.

Bron, if there is a buy-out in the offing (which, as you know, I don't believe) then there would have to be an EGM to get shareholders' approval, even tho' that may just be a formality, and the 2023 accounts would need to be presented at or before that EGM. So they can't get away with just forgetting about the accounts.

Re .results.
Could be results would be incorporated into the new group, similar to Atog results being incorporated into Tende and reported much later than the due date.Maybe the company expected matters to be settled before oct 30th and delayed slightly.keeping an eye on AET share price

I am trying to think postive by thinking outside of the box, is the lack of results a positive in the sense that we are a lot closer to the end then we think. Just a outside guess Was the last AGM drink in pub after by the bod because they knew it might well be the last AGM?, or do they have drink in pub after every AGM?. Do these last set of results need to be released if this concludes before xmas? I just can't believe all these big names linked to us is all about nothing with no end game plan mapped out to a timeframe. Always darkest before dawn, i will still take a punt with the xmas turkey on order. If not i give up trying to make sense about any of this, its fried my brain after all these years

O/T

Just thought I'd post an extract from an rns in another o&g company I have an interest in....We could do with the same here.

'Actions are being taken to further reduce the cash costs of the business in the near term ahead of Buchan FDP approval. Through various measures, including a reduction in salaries, staff and Director numbers, the cash costs of the business are forecast to fall by 50% from £3 million a year to under £1.5 million in 2025'

The won't be announcing an AGM until they release the 2023 accounts.

On what date last year did they announce the AGM? Surely they must send a notice out soon if they are to hold it in second week of Dec as usual

ace...Over my investing career...I've made money and lost money....with four stocks going to the wall, there's no guarantee with AIM stocks....We'll have to and see which way this one goes...I've recommended this company to half dozen people, hence would like it to do well...I'm confident that it will. One great lesson I've learnt over my time is...forget the company, you're backing the managers.

ps...it may surprise you to learn that I've done well out of this company....I bought a shed load at 0.48p then sold a few. ie,,...10m at 1p..... I just want the people I advised to do well.

ace....I retired 18 years ago...(not by choice I might add...the Insurance company that insured the company vehicle pulled the plug, so I was asked to use my own car..I did so for a while...but it was costing me £100 a week...Getting up in the dark, getting home in the dark..I had enough, it was time to call it a day..The irony is that I bought this share...and am still in the dark.)

I'e got a bad feeling about this situation. There's got to be more to this than just a delay in Angola.
