rpat2....it's difficult to rally the troops when you're demoralised and losing the battle. Time has taken it's toll. The will to win has gone. The shareholders have lost the war.....the bod have won.

Jack Pryde, Sirius' Chairman, commenting, said:

"We have made significant progress with our review of a broader range of potential assets, both blocks and marginal fields, which have become available for potential farm-in by the Company.'28/09/2012'

I bought these shares on this info.........twelve years later... 'significant progress' with the promise to drill in November 2012. I'm still waiting.

I've come to the conclusion that extracting money from punters, including instii's, is a lot easier than getting oil out of the ground.....the company are making a good living exploiting the 'easy bit'.....producing oil out of the ground is, if you're lucky, just a bonus.......a little bit like buying an srsp lottery ticket.

Exactly my point HT. ETU have had close associations with Sonangol for some time, unlike Tende (as far as I know) and ETU is a proper oil company, which Tende is not. So surely it's not unreasonable to assume that it is more likely that ETU will be dealing with any negotiations in Angola, not Tende.

Which brings me back to the point I was making earlier, which you may have missed, that if any 'Notice to Complete' has been served, it is unlikely to have been served on Tende.

ETU have partnered Sonangol in a few deals since Tende first attempted to get a foot hold in Angola......so I think we can eliminate ETU as the problem......which narrows it down a bit.

June '22 AR
'The Consortium have been awarded exclusive rights to acquire participating interests in blocks 18,31 and 27 from Sonangol-The Angolan State owned company'

(If memory serves me correctly, this company had problems dealing with the Nigerian 'State Oil Company'...while dealing with OML95.....it may be just a case a of the lack of negotiating prowess...in both cases.)

HT, I think it's been explained a few times on this BB that it is most likely ETU who will be the lead party for the consortium negotiating the deal in Angola, so it is unlikely that anyone will have issued a "Notice to Complete" to Tende.

And in any case, it may be incorrect to assume that it is either ETU or Tende who is the cause of the delay. We simply don't know what is causing the holdup.

The Angola deal has now taken two and a half years and, as far as we know, not yet been completed. This implies that Tende must have now been issued with a 'Notice to Complete' .....which involves a dead line.

'Failure to complete refers to the situation where a buyer does not finalise the purchase by the agreed-upon completion date.

This can occur due to various reasons, ranging from financial difficulties to unexpected personal circumstances. When this happens, the seller typically serves a notice to complete, giving the buyer a final deadline to fulfil their obligations.'

(Afentra started after us and have already two fields signed up with a further two on the verge of completion......while we're still scratching around in the dark for the first one)

What I believe we know already:
Only the $18M deposit has been paid, and that is probably sitting in an escrow account.
The balance will be reduced by whatever the accruals are sitting at when the final payment has to be made.

Ref,........the Angolan deal..

Post Events,2022 AR

The proposed Acquisition is conditional upon satisfactory Due Diligence being completed, the payment of net consideration and receipt of Ministerial approval..'

I couldn't find anything to confirm or suggest that 'net consideration' of $370.5m has been paid....maybe you could help me on this one...(facts only please)

This lot tried to 'waffle' themselves into a deal....and look where they ended up.
