There is a parallel between Gareth Southgate and Tende Energy, both have made a good living by kicking a bag of wind around for years.

It's going to be a tough game to win. Spain are no push-overs.

England to win 4-1 and Tende to make the long-awaited Angola completion announcement by the end of July. What odds?

only1gibbo..... If we're not happy with the 'onece every six months' communication from the company we can always complain to the FCA . If they choose to ignore our plea, then the whole exercise is a waste of time. My own personal opinion is that until oil revenues are forthcoming from all the projects then reporting is pointless. Tunisia is producing oil, but $20m has been drawn against it and obviously got to be repaid. Another $10m+ drawn against Nigeria, with no indication of Revenues and we don't know what the debt for Angola will be......Plenty of info regarding what's been drawn down and how much they've borrowed....but very light on actual Revenues. Not exactly the info I'm looking to put into a relist AD. To do any good, they need to get COSMOS up and running. COSMOS is now the 'Jewel in the Crown'.

HT - re post 136036 and the Morningstar link.

I don't think this is going to improve our lot. The "UK will move to a "disclosure-based" system, which the FCA hopes will "put sufficient information in the hands of investors, so they can influence company behaviour and decide how they want to invest." actually seems a backward step.

The article goes on to state "The existing regime means corporate actions are put to mandatory votes, long seen as a key feature of the UK's global reputation for corporate governance. However, the FCA agrees they can also present stumbling blocks.

Instead, "significant transactions" and "related-party" transactions will now be subject to official disclosures to allow investors to make up their own minds in a different way. Shareholder approval for reverse takeovers and de-listing will remain."

So this seems to be a move from requiring shareholder approval for significant and related party transactions to one where the the BoD just tell them what is happening. I really don't think that is going to make things better here, in fact, it'll probably make things far worse in terms of shareholder engagement.

Further on the article quotes "Chris Beckett, head of equity research at Quilter Cheviot, agreed the reforms were an important move, but highlighted the risk that governance standards might fall."

Agreed ace there is no justification for sort of behaviour towards shareholders. How anyone can defend these people is beyond me. Anyone who does is more than likely balls deep in the never ending saga or just extremely stupid... regardless of what happens.

Talking about Sherl0ck did someone mention once that he had posted in excess of 15000 posts in the BB.

Just looking at his profile it says 2458 posts. Maybe I imagined that

risky: "But they haven't even answered."
Maybe they're starting to feel a chill wind blowing, and need to give careful consideration to how they reply.

I don't know how many copies of the email they received, but from the number of posters on here who admitted that they had sent one, it must be quite a few, enough I would have thought for them to realise that the peasants are getting restless!

Is it possible that Sherl0ck exited this stage because he was getting bad stick from some posters on here? Just a suggestion.

No ones talking takeover now are they … what’s the difference. Should we infer these people were misleading us too?

I don’t but you can’t have it both ways
