The PIGB theory sounds plausible except for the fact that it doesn't seem to have held up others drilling in the area. LEK, MFDeevCO, OML 41. OML 42 to name a few of the top of my head. Even Seplat, who took over OML53 and OML55, have not drilled a well for at least two years.....but the share price has done up over 100% within the last twelve months.

In the meantime, the share price is being held in a narrow range. MMs prepared to take 6 or 7 million at a time, the share price goes down, and somebody cleans up. That somebody knows what`s going down. $3m recently handed over to COSL. And a brand new office opens up. Go figure. Game plays out in June when Buhari signs off PIGB 2 after newly created NRPC has done the business.

"The Federal Government expects the National Assembly to pass the harmonised version of the Petroleum Industry Governance Bill (PIGB) before the end of June this year, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu has said. The aim is to ensure that both the policy and regulation duties are clearly spelt out because we need institutions to implement both the petroleum and gas policies.”

Rig aint goin nowhere. Marine traffic spotters can take a break for a week or so.

So, when Bobo said in March that, weather permitting, we would have a rig on site in April, was he expecting the PB to be psssed within that 4-6 week window? Had he been given an over optimistic nod? Or, is there no connection? As Xerot says, we really don’t have a clue.

DrR: SRSP didn't actually blame COSL for the delay, I'm sure they are too clever to do that, but they certainly implied it. And I agree that that was more than just a little bit naughty.

Why couldn't they come straight out and say that they were having to wait on these documents to be passed through Parliament? Then everyone would have been aware of what was going on, and would probably have been a whole lot happier.

Yes deadly, my thoughts precisely. July was predicted by Turner & Pope, clearly they knew more than we knew at that time!

As per AD, no timeline could be given for the ultimate MPR green light because they never knew for sure the date of the final passage of PIGB which reforms the now defunct NNPC/DPR.
Out of the hands of the Co. Have to sit back and wait. Bit out of order to blame COSL, but could hardly come out with a diatribe against FGN.

If you were a smart investor you wouldn't be stuck in this.

Do you think we'll be in the same boat in 2019?

On the 15th April, the Google snapshot of the rig zone page was stating en-route, The 27th it had been updated to the current status. Make of it what you will but my gut feeling is its sitting there just off the coast. Bobo turn your AIS on!

In effect Smart Investor manage the accounts as an outsourced service for barclays. For example Computershare platform was provided by TD Direct Investing so any Computershare clients shares were held in the TD Nominee account
