11/5/2018 19:19 | 'LONDON (Alliance News) - Sirius Petroleum PLC on Tuesday said it is awaiting news from its international rig partner on when the rig will mobilise to the Ororo field in Nigeria.' So it's taken, so far, 11 days to answer and E-mail....you lads can say what you like but if this is the state of play, I'm now concerned about the relationship between SRSP and the other 'partners'.....at this rate, nothing's going to get done. The rig is only one aspect of the drilling campaign , without the other partners to unite in a concerted effort after all this time...and at the drop of a hat, is going to be a much bigger challenge than merely mobilising a rig. The original drilling agreement was for 165 days.....that's long, long gone. The ball is now in COSL's court.....and they're obviously tied up elsewhere at the moment. When they're free, no doubt they'll give us a call. Since SRSP made the initial Drilling deal with COSL, CNOOC have had a new CEO installed, obviously a 'new broom' will want to make an impression for his shareholders. Working 'for nothing' as it's been portrayed in the media, will hardly be his priority. As I said before...they should have struck while the iron was hot. | ![]() htrocka2
11/5/2018 18:15 | I agree, I'm quite sure that SRSP and COSL are in regular contact. The way the article is written stems from the rather ambiguous wording in the RNS. | ![]() vatnabrekk
11/5/2018 18:10 | Sounds like pure speculation to me with not a shred of evidence to back up the supposition.Hey, par for the course on here so fits in nicely. ? | ![]() astralvision
11/5/2018 18:05 | Poor communication between 'partners'....not a good sign. | ![]() htrocka2
11/5/2018 17:30 | One might get the impression that SRSP and COSL aren't talking to one another, and that SRSP are sitting in their nice new offices waiting to "hear" from COSL. | ![]() vatnabrekk
11/5/2018 17:12 | Just thought I'd post the 'Alliance' version. | ![]() htrocka2
11/5/2018 14:31 | Just a waiting game as always they've got the new offices they've sorted the contracts all the hard works been done, just have to wait for more news and updates and buy more if it dips if you can afford to, have a good weekend all. | ![]() aventador
11/5/2018 14:25 | Htr I think the new permits are longer than 6 months! That's what made this one so ridiculous when we most certainly looking at it now not in a position to drill | ![]() shez20
11/5/2018 13:47 | Shez20... that was my point..'I cants believe the 6 months drill permit that they got was back in 2015'....drill permits only last 6 months.....and over 6 months ago they said 'all permits are in place'....some one should tell them that drill permits have run out now.(not to mention that they now have FOUR well heads) | ![]() htrocka2

11/5/2018 12:56 | PIGB ,everything is interconnected,as such it's not 0possible to drill until the Nigerian legal framework and the changes to the nnpc are signed off.The scale of the Sirius plans reflected in the consortium size and the new offices demands that it's more than just a few wells on ororo.Sirius will be kept informed on the state of the PIGB and as such it makes sense that the rig is not too far from ororo awaiting the green light .in my view once the rig is given the green light after the buhari signature then that's when all plans historic and current will come together justifying the huge wage and office costs. | ![]() bronislav
11/5/2018 12:40 | Nigerian politics works in mysterious ways its wonders to perform. | ![]() vatnabrekk
11/5/2018 12:29 | Been having our pants pulled down for years of this lot lol | ![]() shez20
11/5/2018 12:28 | I cants believe the 6 months drill permit that they got was back in 2015! Year after year of minimal progress and maximum promises! Still makes me laugh when you look at the logistics of it all now! | ![]() shez20
11/5/2018 12:23 | dr... they said we were 'good to go' last November...let's hope you're right. July 2016 The Company is pleased to announce that approval has been granted by the Federal Ministry of Environment regarding the Environmental Impact Assessment ("EIA") which covers the drilling of 3 wells on the Ororo Field and the installation of wellhead platforms Nov 2015 'the DPR confirms that the Partners have met the necessary licence obligations on the asset to allow them to commence operations on the field. The Approval will expire six months from the date of issue, being 26 October 2015, at which point Guarantee must seek revalidation on behalf of the Partners, if drilling has not commenced. | ![]() htrocka2
11/5/2018 11:38 | Pigb has no effect on the rig or they wouldn't done the contracts sure it will be soon mobilised and we will get news when it does I'm sure. | ![]() aventador
11/5/2018 11:32 | That's very true drr. We were certainly led to believe that all permits etc. were in place, but we've had similar situations before when we thought everything was ready to roll, then subsequently discovered that it wasn't. So it seems that we now have to take each RNS with a certain measure of salt! | ![]() vatnabrekk
11/5/2018 10:14 | Dr R and Vatna, certainly looks that way but weren't we advised all permits and permissions were in place and that we were good to go, I recall. Maybe everyone was given to think that the PB was done and dusted but Buhari has not been minded to sign off, for whatever reason Given our post Ororo planning would appear to be contingent upon the PB our partners may have suggested slow down before we start the ball rolling. No point kicking off Ororo if the follow up plans cannot start | ![]() drrichard
11/5/2018 09:43 | SIB: Fits in with my thinking. We're waiting for the Nigerian politics / haggling to get sorted. Then they will give COSL the green light to move the rig. Then COSL will be in a position to advise a date for completion of mobilisation, per the RNS. | ![]() vatnabrekk
11/5/2018 09:27 | COPL, NUOG, PuraV, SRSP all seem to be stuck in the same rigless boat, unable to get things moving. | ![]() dr rosso
11/5/2018 07:57 | COPL RNS - sound familiar Our management team, who are also shareholders, share the concern of the shareholders who contact us about the length of time it is taking to move forward on this project. Unfortunately, most if not all of the issues have been outside of our control, but together the Company and our joint venture partner Shoreline Energy are focused on bringing this part of the project to a conclusion. | ![]() sirianbotham |
