Looking pretty much slam dunk deal between CNOOC and Ondo, with Sirius having been deployed as the FTSA front. Next up should be the golden handshake. $250m and out?

As drrosso rightly says vatna, we’re at the mercy of COSL now, it’s totally out of the hands of Bonzo and Co.

If the rig was in the UAE offshore surely a Sirius employee could do a quick scouting trip to check couldn’t they ?

As a few said yesterday and quite correctly so IMHO, the RNS was rushed out for a specific reason and I’d say it wasn’t for our benefit.

Could it have been a signal in code after a certain “milestoneR21; was reached ?

Near term, spudding date......I’m sure all will be made crystal clear soon enough...I’d say no news is good news.

Stranger things happen at sea ..as they say....now, where’s that Rod Stewart song ?

Vatnabrekk....re your post 78330.....they don’t know when it’ll arrive hence why they’re seeking confirmation of the completion of mobilisation as per yesterday’s RNS.

Too ambiguous as I said yesterday....clarity is required for once from these shady scallywags.

i would say roughly 3 millions buys v 350,000 sells since lunch time thats the trouble when mm's go fishing for shares they then risk people buying more at lower price

DR..... What do you make of the article posted three weeks ago?

(why does he not acknowledge the existence of Sirius Petroleum?)

Responding, Governor Akeredolu said, “We have the Ororo OML 95. We have the OPL 241 . These are what a number of us called ‘great assets.

” We’re ready to work with anybody. We are ready to partner anybody who’s interested. These assets, particularly, oil blocks are veritable tools for economic development.

“The important thing is that we can’t allow it to just lie down there and at the end of the day licenses are withdrawn “, the Governor said.

yep good post dr rosso ive just took wiserthenyou's advice and had a top up at 0.85 interesting on a dummy sell they were offering nearly 0.84!!! thats why the mm's won't have the balls to drop it below 0.80 as they would probably run out of shares

It will be most interesting to hear who Sirius has really gone in with and what assets they have farmed into. Could be anything just offshore Benin South down as far as Gabon, tho the focus is likely to remain Nigeria. Operating spv will already have been set up with the owner-operators, and would require the holding Co (Sirius) to have producer status. Known but unnamed approaches have been made. Likely Cavendish, Sapetro, Nigdel and others in this mix. Nice pipeline of assets secured, run from a nice new office. The appointed engineers haven`t been twiddling their thumbs over the last 18 months. Await AD and new cprs, and rto in view of asset size.

In such a context, easy to understand why BoD has always and solely been formed of accountants.

With you on that Dr.R

It's certainly more interesting and makes more sense than being in an endless holding pattern

The world class consortium certainly hasn`t been left dangling. In line with the joint $80bn coastal investment plan, the next news of significance will be the confirmation of a well-known Chinese Co at the helm of this Project Ororo venture. Sirius has now completed the series of tasks it was engaged for, as far as this Ondo Project is concerned. As with rig mobilisation, proposed spudding and subsequent schedule, the twin block offshore drilling campaign is not, and never has been, in the hands of Sirius.

I've got two Birmingham City tea-mugs - one I keep at my Dad's house (I've had since a child), one I keep at home. I also have a Birmingham City glass tankard for special occasions like total eclipses, Halley's Comet putting in an appearance, Wiser-than-me posting sense and Birmingham City winning.
It may surprise a few to learn it don't get used much.

My Spouse has a Torquay United tea mug - we must be worth a small fekkin' fortune.
