In case I've got this wrong:

Here is a link to marinetraffic.com showing vessels off the Ondo coast. As far as I know, although some of these vessels may be within OML95 perimeters, they are not on Ororo, which I believe is further north (or NW actually).

And here is a link showing the map of OML95. I understand that Ororo is near the very north perimeter of OML95.

Of course, it is possible that there are vessels at Ororo, but not transmitting AIS signals. But unlikely.

If I've got any of this wrong, I would appreciate someone putting me right.

DR... don't give up....yet, as Edgein stated, if the 'Force' is on the back of a HLV with it's transponders switched off.....then the possibility exists that it could be some where on the West Coast of Africa and the April date still on. The BoD's credibility is at stake here so while we're still in April, we have no option but to give them the benefit of the doubt....and accept their 'Drill by April' date.

We "sceptics" may still get a shock if the rig suddenly turns up at Ororo in the next one or two weeks. Then I will have to start scrubbing the thick layer of egg off my face.

But I doubt it.

So there is no work going on at the Ororo location, and this supposedly hot rig hasn't moved from its original UAE position. May I ask how drilling is going to start in April, as per the mid-March rns?

The vessels you are seeing are not actually at Ororo, they are further south.

I thought they had to do some pre-drill preparatory work on site such as organising a barge of some sort to collect the oil? Should we not have been able to see some kind of activity from support vessels at the Ororo location before now?

Your the one obsessed by spotting the rig.. and badly you do it. What will be will be wait for the next rns judging by today's movement won't be much longer.

Could well be the case all these weeks with no news is because the rig has been on route all this time can't trust these dodgy sites surely isn't ideal to mark there whereabouts to the world with pirates etc on free to view tracking devices.Or alternatively ring the bloody company up and ask if it's there or not.

VatnaInteresting to note on google at Al Mina there are half a dozen rigs lined up.So you're theory that the two tugs were towing a rig seems probable.Which just don't know if it was Force, and if it was we're one hlv short of a party!Any good theories Vat?

No one wants to see 'buttons' pressed, but the Saudi Prince has just ordered 48 Typhoon fighter aircraft... he's not getting on with one of his neighbours. Let's just hope this doesn't get out of hand.

Astral, no The Treasure came out from the harbour near to the Palm Jebel Ali while the whatever-it-was was towed into the harbour further north at Al Mina, and Treasure didn't go anywhere near there.

Who knows drrichardEvery hlv picked so far has been wrong, but timing seems right for Treasure, it was converted by COSL.That's a thought re the AIS, or perhaps it's just popping into Fujairah for a change of scenery
