The legal framework for investment in the Nigerian oil and gas industry is now in place .whether or not it had any bearing on Sirius we will likely never know .What it does mean is that it is another possible hinderance out of the way.We know there is 80 billion of Chinese investment and 15 billion of Indian investment lined up for Nigeria .A percentage of these large amounts could transform the oil and perhaps more importantly the gas industry in Nigeria..onwards and upwards .

Nice one minichris and Sher10ck.

No doubt it'll be all systems 'go' and waves of rns's on it's way. H1 drill is now a virtual certainty.

ps.
It beggars belief that with COSL signed up we're not swamped with Chinese cash.

Senate President, 2pm Thurs, 25th May 2017:

"The Bill is now read and passed. Distinguished colleagues let me thank you all starting with the committee and all members that contributed to this landmark bill that we have passed today.

This is a bill that has evaded for many years and we have not been able to pass and we made a commitment at the beginning of this 8th Senate that we will pass this bill.

This is a bill not only for Nigerians, even our friends and investors in the petroleum sector have been waiting for us to put a framework that will ensure transparency, accountability and create an enabling environment for the petroleum sector that will be necessary to stimulate growth in this sector.

We hope that by what we have done today again will continue to show the kind of commitment and leadership and our contribution to develop this country.

I'm proud of what you have all done today. We gave this commitment and we have passed this bill that has not been possible for many years and we have done it.

I hope with this bill the oil and gas industry will begin to see the new kind of investment that is necessary. We'll plug all the loopholes, be able to reduce the areas of corruption, inefficiency.

Our people will be able to benefit better in the petroleum sector and that Nigerians will be better for it.

I thank you all for what you have done today."

Bron....doubt it, they don't look stressed/poor/hungry/close to complete financial and mental breakdown/ridiculed by family and/or friends/look like they enjoy the level of self-harm needed here/bothered about not being in it over a weekend...enough to me :-/
