13/6/2015 07:01 | drrichard... I'll sleep when this lot is done and dusted, The Nigerian Media confirms that there has been misconduct with regards to Offshore Processing Agreements, ( a euphemism for brown envelopes via 'signature payments').... which probably has some baring on why SRSP are not up and running....yet. “That none of the NNPC officials was arrested or detained by the EFCC or the DSS in connection with investigation into the crude swap programme and the Offshore Processing Agreements. Yet another one caught with his fingers in the till... It seems to be engrained in their culture to think that just because you are made responsible for the control of other peoples money that it entitle and gives you the right to skim a percentage off the top...(having said that, my ex accountant comes to mind) | htrocka2

12/6/2015 09:33 | Related topic...Buhari is in control and cracking the whip. It's amazing how, just after a couple of weeks in office, and suddenly five years of fuel scarcity has been resolved...(let's not mention selling the sprits abroad and claiming the subsidy)...and just blame it on poor maintenance, that coincidentally are being completed all at the same time on various refineries. “I want to assure Nigerians that we are coming to the end of this scarcity as the measures taken by the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, NNPC and other stakeholders take hold. | htrocka2
12/6/2015 09:33 | Probably retrace again later like normal, must be due a decent rise soon been a year since we've seen any real action and a lot of catching up needs to be done. | topgun1000

12/6/2015 09:10 | Hello, ello. A little movement in the right direction, and, for once, nice and early rather than later in the day. Is the worm turning, I wonder? | drrichard
11/6/2015 23:41 | X1000.. I've just been over their history and they've had some strong head winds in the past...for instance, they've had potential partnerships with Frontier Oil, Bolad Energy, RT5 Petroleum, Del Sigma and now Gurantee and Owena. The problem in the early days (and probably still exists) seems to have been that potential indigenous farm-in partners wanted upfront signing-in fees of around $9m and the DPR, for allowing permission to farm in..$6.5m.(that's $15.5m of 'entry' fees prior to funding the field) The initial deal with Frontier Oil was with a company that had a CEO who had spent 35 years as MD of NNPC (which cannot account for 50% of its cash)...so it would seem that a lot of people wanted a lot of money up front for doing nothing , merely exploiting the position they hold...and were not prepared to wait and be paid as and when the oil/gas eventually came out of the ground. So 'yes', I'd say these were 'dodgy' deals. | htrocka2
11/6/2015 21:36 | x1000 11 Jun'15 - 16:54 - 33887 of 33887 1 0 how can we be confident that the bod have not been involved in shady deals with the regime ? You should have asked the Q the other way round, you plonker. "Is there even the remotest chance they haven't done dodgy deals with the regime?" And we know what the answer is, lol | s2014logiser
11/6/2015 16:54 | Htrocka, how can we be confident that the bod have not been involved in shady deals with the regime ? | x1000
11/6/2015 16:53 | They are probably down the beach playing with their bucket and spade. | ropot
11/6/2015 13:01 | I know this has been a long time coming but I'm actually very pleased that srsp have not strung a deal together up to now. Along with the $20bn missing from Oil revenues, the ex oil Minister now has to explain what happened to an extra $11.6bn that has also gone missing from gas revenues. Any shady deals made by srsp with the past crooked regime would have been tainted with suspicioun. Let's look forward to a New Nigeria......and bring all the defrauding criminals to book. | htrocka2
11/6/2015 08:13 | A very interesting post htrocka2. Nice spot. | drrichard
11/6/2015 08:07 | From Ophir's rns today...I thought might be relevant...They've declared a 1bn boe reserve and are looking for more....ie, 'to fund our exploration objectives'....you never know, with a couple of ex Ophir directors working on our behalf....it could be srsp? ophir's rns "These audited figures confirm that, at over 1 billion barrels of oil equivalent, Ophir's net 2P plus 2C resource base is one of the largest in the European mid-cap sector. The updated reserves and resources certification highlights the long life nature of our producing assets which will generate material cash flow to fund our exploration objectives | htrocka2 |
