06/12/2018 20:41 | Sorry 11%, I’ve just seen your post asking about my end of year prediction figure while reading the last three weeks worth of posts (which mostly seemed to indicate excessive boredom!). I believed it was in a January post written after the end of year update supplied in January, so had a look to check that I had put it in. It was 18p mentioned in the middle of post 30798 which was a post predicting that bad news about cost / progress was being suppressed but I thought it would come out in the mid year update (which in a way it did, as that update was the first time “on budget” was dropped) While I’m here I’ll comment on a couple of things. The award of the MTS fitout to Strabag looks a real “dog’s breakfast” of a rushed contractual arrangement, as a variation order, with almost half the work on prices yet to be agreed after about four years of work on the deal with the two contractors, no doubt done to satisfy the banks but I don’t see how it would. I’m thinking of buying a few Strabag shares! This is about the time that I had expected Sirius to lose their nerve and announce a rights / placing / industry partner investment as a result of discussions with the banks specialists, but nothing has happened so far, so perhaps I’ll be proved wrong. On the other hand, it might just be that Sirius are lining up arrangements to cover the shortfall, which I’m expecting to see include a further substantial increase in contingencies above that revealed in September. My view, fwliw, is that they should have gone for a billion dollars in the Summer and that it would still be in the best interests of shareholders to do it now. | muckshifter

06/12/2018 12:13 | "The first 125m of the tunnel will be created with traditional tunnelling methods, before a tunnel boring machine (TBM) takes over for the rest of the 8 mile drive from Wilton. Two more tunnel boring machines will be lowered into the ground at the mine and an intermediate site to drive the remaining 23 miles. The underground transportation system, linked to the mine, was chosen to avoid impacting the surface landscape of the local area." Video | johnwise

06/12/2018 11:12 | Banks have a heightened perception of credit risk since Lehman. The financial modelling of this project does not lend credible support to its bankability. The CB holders might be increasing their short positions.....perhap | jw30
