03/12/2008 08:09 | were becoming a property developer!! lol. least we have lots of oil to keep the oil tanks for each property full. :p | leeson31
03/12/2008 08:05 | It is awful and really should not be allowed. This should not be voted in favour of at the AGM (not that that would make any difference). Really is disgusting and highlights the risks I pointed out yesterday. | tpain
03/12/2008 08:00 | "The growth of oil reserves, production, refining yields and profits remains the aim of your Board. Distribution of the Group's profits in the form of dividends is likewise a priority and in due course we will announce a restructuring of the Group which will enable such payments" What does that bit mean? I thought the company was able to pay dividends already? | ammons
03/12/2008 07:50 | These purchases are far more extensive than I thought they would be. Agreed. Not good. | ammons
03/12/2008 07:46 | mmmm, an oil company buying real estate to save a directors ass. Not good | eug
03/12/2008 07:42 | That explains the collapse the other week. $340m of debt for $430m of russian real estate. Hopefully will not see an announcement next month that Sibir have bought Mr. Tchigirinski's trailer home for $500m with an independent report showing that based on 2708 prices it is fair value. | miamisteve
02/12/2008 15:07 | l2 looks good now 74,076 v 66,407 | need_2_b_brave

02/12/2008 12:01 | They must be immune from problems in Russia then? By the way I am long term holder but putting your head in the sand is not the answer. If TNK/BP can't make a profit why would Sibir? | kibes
02/12/2008 11:35 | SBE are not losing money on the barrels they produce. Blatent lying will not get you anywhere. | tpain
02/12/2008 09:14 | harryh05 - I think it is losing money on every barrel it produces. Until the oil price goes up the only way is down in my opinion. They will need to stop all capital expenditure very soon to conserve cash. Which means stopping all drilling and development work. | kibes
02/12/2008 06:50 | harryho5, I doubt it. UK interest rates coming down wont make a huge amount of difference to a Russia focus oil producer/explorer. It might help short term sentiment but thats all methinks. | ammons
01/12/2008 20:24 | surely the fact that interest rates will be coming down on Thursady, directors buying stock at £2+ and an interesting AGM should have some positive impact on the stock short term? | harryh05 |
