Hang on. Where exactly is this acquisition ? SKA says in 'East Africa'. I wouldn't have thought Zambia was 'East Africa'. Its actually nearer central Africa, and Kabwe is in central Zambia.
But If its the old Kabwe mines, remember many cos have tinkered and either let drop or have come a cropper. And if acquired, the 'exploration and development' program (and mining plan) before anything starts will be expensive. So a lot more cash to be raised. On top, no details of that 'in-ground' resource. Can't be reliably calculated without a JORC; how long to extract ? What basis for the NPV - over how many years ? . Its useless as a guide for investors without a lot more detail - eg up-front costs, mining timetable, etc etc ie needs a PEA at least. NPV's are not a guide to what to pay in any case and are never achieved in practice. Maybe a speculation at this low price. But beware if anywhere near pi's back-of-envelope calcs.
Note also from 2023 local press "Kabwe is one of the worst pollution hot spots in Africa because of contamination from a former lead and zinc mine. The mine was originally owned directly or indirectly by Anglo-American and other British colonial companies, later nationalized, and closed in 1994. But the mine’s toxic waste was never cleaned up"
With todays greater emphasis, who knows what environmental costs SKA might meet.
(And why does anyone suppose its so cheap !)

Fall looks overdone here, a good entry point ahead of news.

Co is well funded so no placing worries.

Not much stock on offer currently either.

When there are more paid rampers, spouting ludicrous values, than PIs on a board it's probably time not to hold, but GL all the same.

Plus the largest shareholder willing to pay 15p/share for funds versus 11p current price.
No doubt he can see where Shuka is headed.

Lots of due diligence from the NOMAD before allowing that RNS to include the $1.9 billion value in the ground.
Significant value coming here and an easy hold.

The rationale behind Quinton van der Burgh’s investments (net worth of $1 billion) in
@MarulaPlc
&
@Shukaminerals_
is also explained. Not surprisingly, shares of #MARU were up 33% in the wake of the interview being published on Friday morning
@ZaksTradersCafe
I would say that the interview was the best out of the hundreds I have conducted in terms of not only the interviewee but also the investment argument it told us.

this i why i bought in...follow the big money

South African billionaire Quinton Van Der Burgh is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Burgh Group Holdings with an estimated net worth of $1 billion. Established in 2004, it has business interests in coal mining, marketing, and mining equipment. Currently, the firm owns several optional mines with more mines scheduled to be operation in the coming years. It has numerous prospecting rigs, several drilling rigs as well as active and ongoing exploration programs. It also has many new and joint ventures with other mining houses as well as various open cast contracts for other mines by mining coals for these companies.

This should move ahead nicely today, tiny free float, acquiring a project with a NPV of $570m, current m/cap £6m

Here is the 75p a share summary, taken from LSE.

HawaiifiveO

Trying to put some perspective on the value of the proposed acquisition based on a heavily discounted scenario + fully diluted shares in issue and project NPV. I come up with 75p a share - where will the share price open at I have no idea but 10p will be history, the timing of the RNS will catch many out Tuesday so there could be opportunity to get in before others who may have missed the news.

Current m/cap here is circa £6m with only 60m shares in issue with management holding 50%, the free float is tiny.

The prospective deal has a NPV of $560m with resource in the ground valued at $2b (NB, numbers based on just 2 of 5 resources as per RNS)

Even if you allow for 75% risk discount for delays/inaccuracies/time etc on the NPV (at current FX rate £450m), would equate to £110m.

A simple translation £110m x fully diluted deal close 150m shares would equate to circa 75p a share and that is on only 2 of the 5 resources (if the full NPV was used it would be £3 a share)

Comments appreciated but the proposed deal is a mega one, possibly one of the largest in recent times for a AIM listed tiddler.

This has to open up circa 15p/20p and run on from there IMO.

Target prices are starting to appear, ranging from 67p to 75p (both heavily discounted) on the RNS stated NPV.

The non discounted TP would be IRO £3 a share !

if they did funding at 15p a share,that's only 39 million shares,so they'd still have less than 100 million share in issue and some fund will be in cash.
