Company bought back 29731 shares at 2.20 yesterday. Broken through the 2.20 barrier today to reach 232.9 to buy. Very positive chart.

True but surely their business model could work with a hybrid format or bb store elsewhere in Morecambe vicinity. Deichmann is not based there either

SHOE must be prepared to walk away from unworkable leases to encourage sensible deals (for them) at other locations.

Correct - store portfolio decreaing/ statement says number of unprofitable stores to close in the next year. We don't know how many. Only 35 stores openings this year

A special divi as well - I thought the results would be good but I wasn't expecting that! Well done to all at ShoeZone!

"It is proposed that a final dividend of 3.3 pence per share will be paid on 22 March 2023 based on a 40% pay-out ratio. The Board is also proposing an additional special dividend of 8.2 pence per share (paid on 22 March 2023), giving a total dividend of 17.0 pence per share."

Still closing stores i.e Morecambe is now closed no sign of relocation or opening a new format in this town. Why is the question

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe Zone Footwear was ultimately owned by Shoe Zone and was, quite a few years ago, a vehicle used to control the Irish stores ?

Assuming I'm right then, given the fact that it's been dormant for a few years and the lack of Irish business, it looks like a bit of administrative tidying up ?

Company appears to be downsizing as seen a lot of stores in England are holding closing down promotions or already closed. shows zone retail went into liquidation last year is this one of their subsidiary companies

@ACTSCap, no one can begrudge a profit. Still probably worth getting back in though, divvies from now should be reasonable, buybacks keep the price stable and results likely to be pretty good the next couple of years. Makes for a good story.

Well I sold out at 155 after getting in below 70. Well done to everyone who held on to this. Kicking myself here. Exceptionally well run business, now with an established online footwear presence and the ability to return in store. Will probably go much higher

For November...

'Household appliances, footwear and furniture saw positive sales growth both in store and online as consumers sought out good deals on designer items and started to prepare for Christmas gatherings at home'
