I've doubled up here. May settle a little lower yet but I think Takeda needs this deal and will come through.

That Takeda offer was only 38% cash and I think that will be the problem. £46.50 all cash would probably get it.

That abbvie bid was before Baxalta deal though so quite a different beast.

Don't forget Shire had a bid for £53 from US AbbVie before tax rules changed.
So £55 I reckon in the end. £46.50 passing shot.

I assume the fear is its heavily stock orientated. Then you have a scenario where Takeda tanks further and the offer isn't worth over £40.

Certainly the longer there is no RNS the more likely it is that they have received at least an informal bid.
