another 11p will see my buy order filled. No more ammo though and my average remains over £20.70. Looks like a long wait to get back to break even. However, some have predicted a cut in the dividend, I cant see that happening, Shell have a proud record of increasing or maintaining the dividend since 1945, more likely selling some assets to pay dividend and reduce debt. I take a long term view, 11 years from retirement so I can ride out these share price fluctuations.
Im down 15% from initial buy but not losing any sleep, fundamentally Shell is a sound company and Im of the view oil prices will recover as will profits :)

China crash, margin calls crushing commodities
FTSE100 and DOW/S&P500 not immune...these could easily follow China which has been the main engine of GDP growth in the world

I see RBC Capital Markets have reiterated their Outperform and kept their TP of 2,600.00 - that's all right then!

My work suggests we are near or at the bottom for now.
Good luck folks, I'm in for a few.

Ye of little faith. BG is a cracking deal for Shell.
I'd be more worried if Shell had not done a deal because their aint much left in their maturation funnel from what I hear.

BG deal is good and done. Moving on....

Sub £17 - are we there? Great call was sub £18.

Added another few.

Those who referenced sub £18 on here sometime ago, great call.

Did not see that level outside a wider equity bear market, and I'm usually cautious
on my estimations.

Is the $188 divi, the amount paid or the figure before the 10% is deducted?

Nothing scientific, I attempt to factor in a worst case basis when buying higher
yield, so if they are forced to cut then about 15% should do it -
in other words merely a guess on my part.
