Been looking at the 1750p target for weeks and months.
Feel we are nearly there.

No BUY signal yet. Still picking up small parcels on the way. yield very attractive here. BG is a done deal so no point moaning about it. Take advantage of buying BG here and add another 10-20%.

Oil down again this morning , i expect 1500-1600, might go lower if oil continues to remain low.

Don't think this is the "point of maximum pessimism".

Will get worse.

Well the No's have won in Greece. Get your hard hats on with talk of 3% drop in European markets. Is this the point of maximum pessimism and hence a golden buying opportunity??

This may be affected by current general sentiment. it may be an opportunity to pick up more stock in measured amounts. I think Shell view the BG acquisition in very long term perspectives and they have done it to shore up their resource base. in the short term it may not be accretive for investors and it may have been overpaid but they may cherry pick and dispose as best they can of some assets. I think one should be careful not to have too many eggs in one basket and when markets are fairly well valued in entirety catching a falling knife is frowned upon but it is in those situations that long term investors can buy where they were not able to before into a good company.

Looks like sub-1800 could be on the cards tomorrow. But then again surely RDSB offers something of a safe haven because of the yield?

Having said that,

The graph is is very bad........no one expected this for Shell.

This is great opportunity.

The yield have to back to long term average.

The risk here,is Shell will go bust.

What a polite, sensible bb this is. I guess it's because it's away from all those silly jam tomorrow penny shares that so many PI's get attracted to and caught up in. Thank you all

That's the big unknown, what I at least attempt to do is buy where risk/reward
looks reasonable(ish), things can always get cheaper.

Yep I have imt and RioI've just topped up RioI'm just a bit cautious of a gathering of pace of summer market sell off. There are alot of "bargains " to be had with the good blue chips atm.

Well Bill the share price may be soon reaching a level where the BG. BOD decide
to walk away - or a mutual agreement to to proceed is reached, still odds on that the
deal concludes though.

Yield around the same as BP......perhaps more chance of an uplift there? Any thoughts?

I've added to IMT, ULVR, PNN and a few RIO, and just bought back the RDSB
I traded yesterday, next buy for me at sub 1810 if available.
Caught the day's low for most of those - the low so far!, as no idea what the afternoon may bring.
