I mentioned the prospect of the deal potentially falling through last
week because of the continual fall in the SP, however the offer price will not
be raised imv.

The offer price is £13.50 per share so shell will have to up the offer price & shares say 370 & .6 per BG. Share if decline continues or less than £21 per shell share as BG? Shareholders won't accept less . IMHO

If the BG deal goes through, when is the absolute first day of irrevocable she trading? Anyone can suggest? (Both de Jure & de Fact)

I ask as this gives me a timeline for when to buy.

Into the 1700's now. 33% off highs.
1750-1770p is good enough for me chaps. FTSE target 6400+/- also.

I have factored in a cut of approx 14-17% FWIW,
it would be the first time since 1945 so any cut an absolute last resort.

They surely can't maintain this dividend, with oil price, cost of acquisition.

Hi EI, here's the chart with the revised target [1713]. I prefer my previous chart and target [1766]. The conclusion of the triangle seems to occur w/c 17th August and this could well indicate a turn in the share price Prob goes without saying that any trendchange or reversal should be a high volume event, and hopefully with a bottoming pattern. gla

I re-calculated the target for the Descending Triangle and can confirm 1766 as the conclusion of the downbreak.

Only by extending the upper descending trendline back toward the peak at around 2509 [ie enlarging the size of the triangle] can I produce a lower target of 1713.

Yep sub 1800 looks a real possibility. Results shortly....then the juicy xd divi date. If it goes down much further I'll buy another tranche. I don't want to buy too many more rdsb though as it's not healthy to have too many eggs in one basket.

Just worked it out,at £15 the divi yield would be 8%,so I can't see it dropping down to that level.

If you pay 1750, you'll be overpaying by about 150p.
