07/12/2009 09:53 | Yes, me too, although I've been in and out for some time. Always thought this was vulnerable to a T/O as it's the only listed waste management company. xd on Wed but only 1p so had to take profits. Very happy with 30%+ but good luck to anyone staying in. Might be a counterbid! Looks like the analysts quoted earlier were pretty close with their 130p valuation. | evox
07/12/2009 09:43 | Well bought 10000 at 8.12 on Friday.. so think will take whats on the table and not get greedy... could wait for 1.50 ... and bag another couple of k .... but ... could take this profit and use it elsewhere.... | dawntrader
07/12/2009 09:00 | Well done asparks:-) | shazzieb
07/12/2009 08:56 | I'm out. 30% profit is good enough for me | asparks
07/12/2009 08:38 | DT, agree,but we need a little more info. | martynm
07/12/2009 08:36 | 135p was a very good offer. | daytraders

07/12/2009 08:07 | I only took my first position on thursday prior to some proper reshearch, but was to busy at weekend to do it. Was this expected ? | jc1619
07/12/2009 07:53 | Be interesting to see if it opens above 135p. That'll indicate the firmness of the offer and the likelihood they'll eventually increase. Or is it just a tickle? | broadwood
07/12/2009 07:33 | yeh up 50% easily i would have thought. | daytraders
03/12/2009 16:41 | Good to see L & G increasing interest. 130p buy target from Astaire should see steady climb in share price between now and year end | 7pm
03/12/2009 13:38 | 03-Dec-09 Shanks Group SKS Astaire Securities Buy Target 130.00p Reiteration Maybe this has helped the price. Not able to access the research though. Am in it for the long term. | martynm
03/12/2009 09:16 | Todays RNS gives the reason for the lift two days ago, ie. a further acquisition by L&G (Pensions Management) of 279,481 shares. This is encouraging and there's still evidently more positive momentum here today. | mazarin
01/12/2009 20:28 | This moved 1.6% up today after a few weeks of drifting side and laterly downwards. Not much in the way of News from Shanks, so just vaguely wondering if this has anything to do with our approaching Ex Div date set for 12th Dec (payable 15th Jan 2010) albeit a little early for that. Its self evident from here that this Company this doesn't raise much comment, however, it is sometimes reassuring to know what other PI's think about the Company and presumably holding out there......are there..? | mazarin
17/11/2009 08:44 | why some "O" type sell, check that it is small private seller, any news? | ang5
11/11/2009 13:59 | off topic (in case some people mind) is there anyone here that can help me?....read on... are you working in the construction industry and would like to take part in a short (5 questions, 3-5min) questionaire i will be doing as part of my final year project? I would appreciate as many responses as possible and would really help me... if yes then please email me for further information: ghurabaastranger@hot all confidential etc | ghurah
05/11/2009 08:05 | Hello everyone. New here, after hearing Tom Drury on Radio 4 this morning. Am keen to research some more - ideas on where to start welcome. The industry sounds promising. Drury said there were "no real green shoots just yet", but that the government had just announced a new target to halve the amount of waste going to landfill, which must make Shanks well positioned. (He also said that Germany only landfill 1% of their waste - is that right?!) Cheers Chris | chrisfoster
