Enquest would be perfect, on the growth spirt, buybacks, plus has 60% of its oil wells outside UK. Plus share price and free cash is a great buy!!

I can't really see Touchstone being of interest to SQZ. The chart doesn't look great and they haven't been hit by the windfall tax to explain the descent. Enquest could be interesting but aren't SQZ looking outside of the UK (although ENQ do have some interests in Malaysia)?

We could buy Enquest or Touchstone, both would enhance SQZ and we can afford it, fund it and start taking profits from day 1!!!!!

I would agree PDMR do not guarantee a good outcome,seen BOD purchases mess up big time.
But these are big buys and they gonna know what poss deals they could go in for.
You really think this guy put huge sum in on a whim. Get real.

Potential acquisition for whom ??? If you are referring to SQZ they're focused closer to home. Norway mentioned and hinted to numerous times .... They ain't going to Angola and Paul McDade ain't selling to them (even if they had a change of heart)!

London, 8, July 2024 - Serica Energy plc (AIM: SQZ), confirms that Christopher Cox, Chief Executive Officer, purchased 306,597 ordinary shares at an average price of £1.390797819 per share in the Company.



Following this transaction, which is detailed in the PDMR Notification Dealing Form below, Mr Cox is interested in 432,027 ordinary shares in the capital of the Company, representing 0.11065% which is calculated on the total number of ordinary shares carrying voting rights of 390,457,635.

This is on my watchlist - not surprising where the share price is with the mountaon of debt and potential new NS drilling regs.Is there any bull case for this? PDMRs dont always precipitate a good outcome

The next Touchstone update will be interesting, taken over Trinity and looks to be in a position of having a few decent assets in Trinidad and Tobago and share price seems down on its knees like everything else. Something along they lines could transform Serica with the financial muscle to develop the assets?

Fandagie- SQZ is now in a better position to acquire maybe 2 out of these 4 companies, or buy one and merge with another one?
From - Enquest / Harbour / Ithaca / Harbour.
Me personally I would acquire Enquest at 25p a share bid, they also have 15% cash assets. Then merge with or buyout Harbour??

And to think the BOD & shareholders rejected the KISTOS offer of over £4 a share recently, regrets, I suppose we all have those, greed is terrible thing.
